In the vibrant tapestry of contemporary music, few threads shine as brightly and uniquely as that of Tash Sultana. Hailing from Melbourne, Australia, this musical prodigy has captured the hearts and ears of millions around the world with a sound that transcends genre boundaries and defies easy categorization. Tash Sultana is not just a musician; they are a one-person band, a master of multiple instruments, and a performer whose live shows are nothing short of mesmerizing. With a career that skyrocketed from busking on the streets to headlining international festivals, Tash Sultana's journey is a testament to the power of passion, perseverance, and raw talent. A Musical Journey Began Early Born Natasha Sultana on June 15, 1995, Tash's love for music was evident from a very young age. By the time they were three, they had already picked up their first guitar, setting the stage for a lifelong relationship with music. Growing up in a household that encouraged creativity, Tash explored various instruments, gradually mastering over a dozen, including the guitar, trumpet, drums, piano, bass, and even the pan flute. This multifaceted talent allowed Tash to create a sound that is rich, layered, and deeply personal. Tash's teenage years, however, were not without struggle. Battling mental health issues and substance abuse, they turned to music as a form of therapy and self-expression. The guitar, in particular, became a refuge, and it was during this period of introspection and healing that Tash's signature style began to emerge. A blend of psychedelic rock, reggae, blues, and electronica, their music is an auditory journey that reflects the highs and lows of their personal experiences. The Breakthrough: From the Streets to the World Stage Tash's big break came in 2016 with the release of their hit single "Jungle." The song, a powerful testament to their loop-pedal wizardry and soulful voice, quickly went viral, amassing millions of views on KZbin. What made "Jungle" stand out was not just its infectious rhythm and haunting melody, but the way Tash performed it-alone, surrounded by a labyrinth of instruments and pedals, layering sounds in real-time to create a full-band experience. This innovative approach to music-making became Tash's trademark, setting them apart in an industry often dominated by traditional band setups. Following the success of "Jungle," Tash released the Notion EP, further solidifying their place in the global music scene. The EP was a sonic exploration, with tracks like "Notion" and "Gemini" showcasing their ability to seamlessly blend genres and create an atmosphere that is both intimate and expansive. Tash's music resonated with a wide audience, earning them a dedicated fanbase and critical acclaim. The Debut Album: Flow State In 2018, Tash Sultana released their highly anticipated debut album, Flow State. The album was a culmination of years of hard work and artistic growth, and it did not disappoint. Flow State is a masterclass in musical storytelling, with each track offering a glimpse into Tash's mind and soul. From the ethereal "Mystik" to the anthemic "Salvation," the album takes listeners on a journey through Tash's inner world, exploring themes of love, loss, and self-discovery. One of the standout tracks on the album, "Pink Moon," is a prime example of Tash's ability to create an atmosphere that is both otherworldly and grounded in raw emotion. The song's intricate guitar work, layered with Tash's haunting vocals, creates a soundscape that is both meditative and exhilarating. Flow State was met with widespread acclaim, earning Tash numerous awards and further establishing them as one of the most innovative artists of their generation. A Live Experience Like No Other While Tash's recordings are undeniably powerful, it is in the live setting that their talent truly shines. A Tash Sultana concert is more than just a musical performance; it is an experience, a journey through sound that leaves audiences spellbound. Tash's live shows are a testament to their skill as a multi-instrumentalist and a master of live looping. Each performance is a unique experience, with Tash improvising and reinterpreting their songs on the spot, creating a connection with the audience that is both electric and intimate. What sets Tash apart as a live performer is not just their technical prowess, but their ability to pour their entire being into the music. Watching Tash on stage, one can feel the passion and emotion that drives their performance. It's no wonder that Tash has become a sought-after act at festivals around the world, including Coachella, Lollapalooza, and Montreux Jazz Festival. The Evolution Continues As Tash Sultana's career continues to evolve, so does their music. In 2021, they released their sophomore album, Terra Firma, a more introspective and mature work that explores themes of self-identity, personal growth, and the human connection to nature. The album's title, which translates to "solid ground," reflects Tash's journey towards finding stability and grounding in their life and music. Tracks like "Greed" and "Pretty Lady" showcase Tash's growth as a songwriter, with lyrics that are both personal and universally relatable. Terra Firma was another critical success, further cementing Tash's place in the pantheon of contemporary music greats. The album's lush production and intricate arrangements highlight Tash's continued evolution as an artist, while still retaining the raw emotion and authenticity that has always been at the core of their music. A Legacy in the Making Tash Sultana is more than just a musician; they are a force of nature, an artist whose work transcends boundaries and speaks to the soul. Their journey from the streets of Melbourne to the world's biggest stages is a testament to the power of music as a tool for healing and self-expression. Tash's ability to create a sound that is both deeply personal and universally resonant has earned them a place among the most influential artists of their generation. As they continue to evolve and push the boundaries of their art, there is no doubt that Tash Sultana's legacy will be one of innovation, passion, and authenticity. In a world where music often feels manufactured and formulaic, Tash stands out as a beacon of creativity and originality, reminding us all of the transformative power of music. The world eagerly awaits the next chapter in the remarkable story of Tash Sultana, knowing that whatever comes next will be nothing short of extraordinary. WWW.CANDIANO.COM

The reason you hear the similarities is because of the of the fact its an open tuning. she tuned it to a open C tuning, then placed the capo on the 3rd fret which makes the tuning in an open Eb tuning which essentially will give the same voicing s however its in a different key (Eb minor) not C minor. john butlers guitar when he plays ocean is tuned to open C major with a capo on the 4th fret which turns it into an Open E major tuning. My point is if you play open turnings you can make big sounds with similar voicing s which can cause aspects of the song to sound similar to other songs in open turnings. Its the style and sounds the open turnings offer. John butler has just left a massive imprint on the sounds of open tunings due to his popularity.

Awesome sound. I love those 12 string guitar’s. you are made to make music in my opinion you’re amazing at it and from what I seen you put a lot of hard work and dedication into your craft. I’m glad to see the hard work paying off for you.❤️💚💛 from Canada 🇨🇦

Ce n’est pas en France qu’on aurait l’occasion d’entendre une nana comme ça à la radio. Chez nous c’est le désert artistique ! Tout ce qui est intéressant est « clandestin »....

I just realized - being able to sing all the notes/seminotes at every single frequency in a wide range of pitch - thats what singing technically is! PS: High af.
