The climate has always been changing, if you build a house where the sand migrates on a barrier island don't complain about flooding.If you move to a city below sea level like New Orleans don't complain when you're stuck on the roof during a hurricane.If you build a house in a lava zone in Hawaii don't complain when you're house burns down.

Cities like Charleston South Carolina should not bother to cope with seal level rise unless it wants to go through the ordeal over and over again. The best approach for Charleston is to move Charleston to higher ground and take the old city down use the material to rebuild a new city. So my point is, not all cities can be moved. New York City cannot be moved but San Francisco can be moved because these cities are constructed on bedrock and the other on sand. New York City's solution is a major water management project to divert flood waters, massive project below and above ground. But since it is at the mouth of the Atlantic Ocean NYC will become impossible to live with continual water inundation. Florida is the same way, in fact, all land that was previously above sea level is now at or below sea level are gone once Arctic Ice ocean water fill the low lying areas geographically. Hydorpurification plants for water caught by a system of canals for other cities is a thing to consider the purity of ground water. All these things will require the leadership this country does not have at the present time and the lack of direct purpose and reason in leadership spells reactive responses to disasters not planned ones actually is a waste precious resources.
@sgtpppr4 жыл бұрын
South Florida is all limestone....like swiss cheese. A seawall ain't gonna help them because the water is rising from every which way. Yes, San Francisco is built on bedrock....but not the financial district or most of the new high-rises. That's all landfill. As ocean water level rises so does ground water level. A seawall could be built but water will still rise up through the ground. There are three levels of ground water. Just under the surface is run off from streets and gutters. Below that is sewage (because we never fix our infrastucture) and below that is our fresh drinking water. As the ground water level rises with the ocean level, the fresh water will rise through the contaminated water which will rise and compromise all of our lateral pipes (sewage and drinking water) along with building foundations. It's been recommended that the greater Bay area (along with any other coastal city with developed landfill) start clearing the lowlying area that will most certainly flood. Redevelop these areas(if we must) by building with floatable foundations. Also, a percentage of our streets need to be turned into canals NOW. This will give the water somewhere to go while keeping other areas dry. But of course.....this country doesn't take the initiative these days.

Its not a good idea to build homes or communities on barrier islands which are basically sandbars located at the very edge of mighty oceans. The climate has always and will always be in a constant state of change. It is humans vanity to think that they can control everything. All these mayors and public officials speak of impending doom while encouraging growth in their particular town at the same time. They seek to grow their tax base and make their community too important to abandon so massive amounts of money can be thrown at the problem. Who stands to gain from all the money thrown at controlling the water? These very same officials and their pals. As always, follow the money.

Thanks, this was very well made. The various spokespeople were generally excellent. It's tough to listen to Mark Sanford, but I won't dwell on that. This video presents rational, sane views of climate change and presents some sound thoughts about what to do to mitigate it. Now it's 2022 though, three hurricanes later, and it's clear that much of the population of the USA is _not_ rational, and that our political leadership is, to be very generous, all over the place. At a time in human history in which we need more than ever to be highly evolved, many of us seem to be stuck in a primitive, emotionally reactive place that makes climate change utterly terrifying to me. I still have hope, but there is a very real chance that the political leadership of the USA will be handed to people who are, again to put it generously, unfit for office and unable to deal with any of the tasks that lie ahead. I love the coastal areas of my country. I hate to see the damage that climate change has already done to them. In January 2022 a ferocious winter storm took out my favorite Cape Cod beach and about 4 meters of the ~10 meter high clay bluff behind it. That was the work of a single storm.

The speed and facility with which we establish a sustainable pattern of life will depend, in the final analysis, on the extent to which we are willing to be transformed, through the love of God and obedience to His Laws, into constructive forces in the process of creating an ever-advancing civilization” (The Baha'i International Community, 1995 Apr 06, Conservation and Sustainable) "... the Pen of the Centre of the covenant[Abdu’l-Bahá(The servant of the glory of God)]has repeatedly prophesied the intolerable calamities which must beset, this wayward humanity ere it heeds the life-giving Teachings of Bahá'u'lláh(The promised one of all ages)." "Chaos and confusion are daily increasing in the world. They will attain such intensity as to render the frame of mankind unable to bear them. Then will men be awakened and become aware that religion (The Bahá’í’ Faith) is impregnable stronghold and the manifest light of the world, and its laws, exhortations and teachings the source of life on earth." (Shoghi Effendi-Compilations, Lights of Guidance, p. 126) BAHA’U’LLAH (The promised one of all ages) is the divine physician who diagnoses the world’s malady; for the whole planet is ill and needs the power of a great specialist. Writing to the sovereigns of the world, He summoned that the hour for unity had struck-unity between countries, unity between religions. In this period of its evolution, the world of humanity is in danger. Every war is against the good pleasure of the Lord of mankind, for man is the edifice of God and war destroys the divine edifice. If an active, actual peace is brought about, the human world will attain to the utmost serenity and composure; wolves will be transformed into lambs, devils into angels, and terrors into divine splendours in less than the twinkling of an eye. BAHA’U’LLAH’S teachings are the health of the world. They represent the spirit of this age, the light of this age, the well-being of this age, the soul of this cycle. The world will be at rest when they are put into practice, for they are reality. Abdu'l-Baha (The servant of God)), Divine Philosophy, p. 84] “According to the teaching of the Prophets, disease and all other forms of calamity are due to disobedience to the Divine Commands. Even disasters due to floods, hurricanes, and earthquakes are attributed by 'Abdu'l-Bahá indirectly to this cause. The suffering that follows error is not vindictive, however, but educative and remedial. It is God's Voice proclaiming to man that he has strayed from the right path. If the suffering is terrible, it is only because the danger of wrongdoing is more terrible, for "the wages of sin is death." Just as calamity is due to disobedience, so deliverance from calamity can be obtained only be obedience. There is no chance or uncertainty about the matter. Turning from God inevitably brings disaster, and turning to God as inevitably brings blessing.” [Dr. J.E. Esslemont, Bahá’u’lláh (The promised one) and the New Era, p. 95]

Why has our government only now; in the last few years acknowledged the evidence of this possible tragedy? Relax! It's not as Sevier as I thought. I live in WPB Fla, or Ft. Lauderdale Fla. so I'm only 3ft. above sea level. Years ago I thought this was coming on us fast, but it's not! After now, going on about 20 years of occasional monitoring of our beaches; I just haven't seen as much change, as in the early 2000's. Sorry media; Fake News, I actually know this subject and would tell everybody, because here in Florida our drinking water is only 3 ft. above sea level. "SECTV Documentary I BS Rising". Oceans have NOT risen 18" in the last 100 years. Read on. THINK... I grew up in NYC. Went to Battery Park recently. Great memories. Watched the Twin Towers built in the 1970's (RIP) from the roof of my apt complex and milling about the city. Did my Marine Corps service for years, and along the way got educated in the sciences. Another battlefront mind you. My point...I looked at the water levels at Battery Park where the Circle Line and Statue of Liberty boats dock and depart for their tours. Currently, the harbor level is the same as when I was a kid/teen in the 1960's and 1970's. I mean it is exactly the same. Same water lines. Same tide levels/flows. The Staten Island ferry does not sit higher at the dock when it comes in, etc., less the rising and falling normal tide. If anyone tells you differently, they're lying or ignorant. Remember...if it's the same in one place, it's the same everywhere in terms of the water levels. Oceans don't rise over there, and not over here. Common sense. Real science. Yes. If rising in Miami, then it's rising in New York...but it's NOT. Al "I created the internet" Gore said ~16 years ago in his famous 'fantasy dressed as science' book, 'The Inconvenient Truth' (which he got rich off of), we would have waters rise up to 20 feet in the near future. Yes. Add that bastion of truth and genuine concern for her fellow man, Katie Couric, who asked Al in 2006 what his highness sees happening with the seas. Her question: “What do you see happening in 15 to 20 years if nothing changes?" Al Gore's scientific grey matter spoke: "Even Manhattan would be in deep water”, he replied. "Yes, in fact, the World Trade Center Memorial site would be underwater.” Well Al, again, it's been 16 years since you said that (crickets...). Remember my less-than-a-yea-ago Battery Park inspection. I believe (I could be wrong on this one) Al was also quoted at a different location, saying coastline water levels will be three feet higher in ten years (again, from his 2006 book debut time frame). It's been sixteen years Al. Three feet folks. Hey Al...still waiting (Al Gore... a prime example of a politician deep state stooge...but hey, he got rich from it by compliance. A wanna-be scientist politician...no surprise there). I can just hear it now..."Be nice. Al Gore is not a scientist. He is just a concerned citizen". OK...then who is telling him what to write? What's his source? Validated References? Published scientific papers? Something? And where are his detractors for all the empty, false rhetoric he filled that book with? Any known challenges to refute his 'Work'? Of course not. No one would dare. If you want to keep your career. The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) has the water levels rising .58 to 2 feet in the next 100 years. And that's also no guarantee. It may not rise at all. NO ONE knows for certain. A crack in a major Ice Shelf means?...squat. It means that the Larsen Ice shelf, for example, has a large section breaking away. That's what it means. Nothing more. Unless of course...one has an AGENDA. Anyway, maybe old Al, and these video folks, should have consulted with the IPCC before these outrageous claims. Not that I am saying the IPCC is always correct in its assessments and statements either. But a far cry from old Al and many videos' fantastical fear-mongering. Oh, wait...money, agendas, feeling good about oneself, peer pressure, prestige...Meh, never mind. I must keep reminding myself. Note to self...get it together. So, George Soros and Klaus "You will own nothing and like it" Schwab, love their little globalist disciple Albert Gore. In their vernacular (not mine)...another Useful Idiot. That's what they call those types at their luxurious elite get-togethers with cigars, spirits, and Eyes Wide Shut scripts flowing. Yes, you can believe that. While we're at it, let's throw in their much-adored prophetess, at the time, sixteen-year-old weeping Greta Thunberg, with her Junior High School Diploma (I'm sure with honors). Now THERE is a ripe old Sage telling us all how it is via the United Nations pulpit, as she lives in fear of the future. She keeps this up and she is going to be rich. To you globalist thugs? I call it CHILD ABUSE. Put that in your pipe and smoke it. Albeit, the sheep of the world get right in line. All of these 'seriously looking' scientists and environmentalists, dragged in tow by the Elite royalty, spewing their ominous gospel of doom yet again. Knowing they will get their congratulatory love pats on the back, and juicy financial grants from their respective government entities and complicit corporations, to do their voodoo science in support of 'The Cause' (see the following paragraphs of what it is I speak of). By the time all concerned figure out they have been hoodwinked, it will be too late. Yes. Don't fear fake Global Warming....fear these NWO Great Reset devils. Fear the ones who refer to all of us unwashed masses as... 'The Vulgar'. Yes. In their inner circles you/me/we, are coined 'The Vulgar'. How special. Regardless, the 'woke' continue to sleep and dream of their false utopia, of the recompense they shall receive one day soon for all the evils (all lies) done to them by a certain race, promised by the very devils of that race who have no intention of giving it to them. The ONLY reason the Elites want the Earth 'saved' from mankind (though their highest ranks KNOW it's all BS), is again...for themselves. Entitlement. We are NOT invited to the utopian party. Elite royalty and the governments decide medical doctrine now. And their elite, political doctor clowns and court jesters, such as lord Fauci and his thugs, rule the day. ALL are cut from the same mold of global doom purveyors. Puppet Masters, with an ultimate goal in mind. It's good to be King. While the foul Elite does their nefarious global NWO Great Reset treachery behind the scenes. Cooties-19 anyone? Yea. PONDER THIS: The Ice Age BS in the 1960's and 1970's. It was gospel then. Google the Cover of the 1977 TIME Magazine (look at that cover). It states: "How to Survive the Coming Ice Age". It was in scientific periodicals. Museums. News. Indoctrinations...Er, ahem, I mean, Presentations for school visitors to 'be educated' on this pending doom. It was not if, but when. Why? "The scientists told us so". "You must trust the science". My question...whose science? So...2022. Here we are. Where are the new Ice Age glaciers supposed to come down to North America, Europe, Asia Minor, etc.? Oh, wait. My bad. Global Warming must have melted them (thinking emoji)! Never mind (emoji facepalm). The 'WOKE" are genuinely asleep. NOTE: If weather patterns and similar events are getting worse (possible), is there any evidence (Science) for weather patterns/cycles of the Earth, including temperature, cycling up and down over the centuries/millennia? But hey, if you don't believe in God or what the Bible says, that's OK (freedom, choice, UNHINDERED exchange of speech/ideas is a beautiful thing)...but at least believe in mother nature, GENUINE science, and its GENUINE history. NOT the media narrative, which is wholly-owned, controlled, and operated by who (yes, even KZbin)? The New World Order entities (ie. CFR), who are pulling the strings today, and have been for a very long time. It's a complex web of deceit. The 'Deep State' is NOT fake. It is reality. And they adore using our sciences and scientific community to do their bidding. And of late? The Medical community. Foul souls they are. Ignore at your own peril...

One big question is, is it fair to lower income people to pay for costs the rising water level has on beachfront homes. Are the lower & middle class families paying for the wealthy to keep their shore homes, by taxation to everyone? I have seen this in my hometown! Florida is already having problems getting home flood insurance policies. Some of the insurers are leaving the state.

If our leaders would flood the dried up inland seas, then the excess sea level could be avoided. Places like the great basin could be a new inland sea. It might happen naturally anyway once sea levels get high enough.

The alarmist never tell you that land subsidence is also a factor in water levels. They also don't tell you about the cyclical changes the earth undergoes on an annual basis. They also don't tell you that only land based ice will effect sea levels. Floating ice dose not effect water levels just like the ice that melts in your iced tea glass.

The Mark of the B is already here, (look at the Graphene hexagonal structure, that's the 666 - Graphene is carbon which accounts for 18% of the human body, so "the number of a man" is also 666) we are already at the end-time. Sea level rising might become very real. Especially the enemies possess weather weapon now. Read these verses: 1. The Lord will make Babylon " a possession for the bittern, and pools of water…" Isaiah 14:23 2. “Hast thou entered into the treasures of the snow? Or hast thou seen the treasures of the hail, Which I have reserved against the time of trouble, Against the day of battle and war?” Job 38:22-23 3. “And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues.” Revelation 18:4 4. “then let them which be in Judæa flee into the mountains: let him which is on the house top not come down to take any thing out of his house:” Matthew 24:16-17 Come out of Babylons, escape to high elevation places. The time is now.

Neither this "documentary' nor the IPCC models are consistent with observational data. What are your sources for the 'rapid sea level change'? All the actual sea level data sources I can find show a slightly variable but overall reliable rise of 10 cm per decade; this figure has been essentially constant for as long as records have been kept. Why all this hysterical nonsense?
