I was going with a 18' cruise and changed at the last minute for a 21' Sport. Haters will be haters... I took it out for the first time yesterday. My two boys, 29 and 33 and their GF's. Considering it's going to be half speed for the 10 hr break-in stage. We had a blast! Its an awesome boat and concept for what we plan on doing. You remove the two front lounge chairs and pads and you have an amazing platform to fish. Spent the afternoon an a sandbar with 100 other boats. Its not cheap plastic! Trailers very easy and that 230HP motor does have a good reputation! Like I said.... Haters going to hate... :o)
@jimgunn44982 жыл бұрын
Just FYI, my father has owned the 13' model with the 170 HP motor for about 3 months now (around 35 hours of use). In our experience, everything about the boat is very cheaply made, plastic, breaks constantly and takes weeks to months to get replacemet parts. The boat takes on water into the hull and has to be drained and cleaned rigorously and the ride is atrocous due to the very wide and flat hull. Not to mention, the deck of the boat gets scalding hot in the sun, so no bare feet onboard. I suppose if it were on a flat, freshwater lake, it wouldn't be a big deal, but as this one is being used in Pensacola Bay, Pensacola, Florida, all of the above make it a very bad boat for the area. Oh yeah, with 4 people on board, at least two have to be sitting/standing up front or the boat will not reach plane. He is already trying to sell his.

@@ranceramsey89 I have seen conventional fiberglass/gel coat boats clear wrapped. Two things occur.... 1.The clear wrap yellows after a relatively short period. 2. The gel coat simply oxidizes and fades underneath the wrap. The wrap then creates a barrier that won't allow the oxidation to be be buffed away. The customer states that seadoo will replace the sun damaged panels under warranty. My concern is to find a way to prevent the new panels from fading again The horizontal areas of the black sections are of course the worst affected.

@@ranceramsey89 Much has to do with exposure time, and type. Just like the degree of sunburn a person experiences on any given summer day. A boat on a lift at canal side will experience a double dose of UV exposure along the side facing the canal (reflection off of the water's surface). Indeed, there are no doubt many different manufacturers and degrees of quality of the wrap. Eventually UV damage is inevitable......
