Great video, I have sold rods retail for over 20 years. For retail rods fuji are the best. I have a 7' soft plastic spin rod, Abu gargia im8 titanium guides. What a rod

Nice one pal..minimas for me and the good old butchers tape😉..if they groove after a season I'll tape another set on👍 after that bnhg if I have a rod built up.. don't care about a bit of browning but they never fail 💪 don't like the kwags on the rocks after my mate lost a 🦈 because he caught the tip ring on the way down 🙄30 lb line started coming out like vermaccel..horses for courses though.. I'm with you on the alconites for smooth mixed ground..had a few rods blow over on the beach no probs 👍on a pier lost a few😁 worst ring in the world dynaflows on an old Paul Kerry and slosh and mono..used to reel in and it would make me whince with all the juddering 🙄sounds like fixed spool and braid.. don't get me started on that 😁subscribed👍

Excellent video very interesting the detail, had heard lot ideas over the years l was suspicious of being just manufacturers PR, you clarified a few misconceptions. 🏆👍🏻

Hi dave you will only get rust from mild steel as its ferris. As where as stainless 301 304 grade is a grade that will discolour slightly but will not eroded. Food grade stainless steel 316 or marine grade as known. But very strong as a product. But expensive and I'm not sure if 316 would be used in the rod building game. 😃🏴finest I know your out there as a Machinist by trade 😂😂

Interesting that about the minimas Dai, was exactly the same issue with dynaflos back in the day, three grooved tip rings on a set of daiwa whisker pike rods fishing gravel pits, swapped em out for seymo supaglides around 35yrs ago... They're still on the rods...
