Nice to see fishing included with the guides again.

Thank you. Yes I noticed the information only videos were not as popular but it was because the fishing was so patchy at that time. There will be fishing in all the guides where possible 👍

Hello Dave 👋 Sorry about been a bit late replying buddy been very busy watch last night really enjoyed watching and all the information you've give out . The fishing is patchy around the Holderness too buddy like you said it's that time of year take care look forward to the next one and tight lines 🎣 👍

No worries John. I've been watching your Holmpton videos and seen the codling coming out. I've decided this year is my last EOBC as it's becoming a joke. Can't weigh a Bass in this year 😡 Instead we will have a few days/nights up your way when it's fishing well 👍

Yes it's always hit and miss this time of the year. I was happy to catch four different species in the end. The videos will get better as the summer species move in 👍

My home town. Fished there loads as a kid as I lived in Pakefield. The beach is so different now as at high tide ,there was no beach from the Jollys to past CEFAS. Fished Clifton Road many times.🎣🎣

It's a lovely part of the coastline.... So much choice of beach in a small area👍

Nice one Dave. We fished the other end of the boats just before Christmas and any cast over about 30-40 yards got us snagged up. It felt like the seabed was devoid of sand and shingle, very strange.
@david89200610 ай бұрын
Hi John. I heard a couple of days ago that there was beds of old mussel or whelks up there which anglers were snagging up on. They also mentioned it was at range 👍

Nice to see another guide from you David, all very informative and helpful as usual, I've not done Suffolk for decades but when I did my favourite beach was Benacre, I always did well there about 30 - 50 yards from the 'pipe' but I dont think you can get there anymore without a very long walk, Anyway now I'm back into fishing again your guides will come in very useful, Thanks a lot mate, tight lines, Cheers Karl. 👍
@david89200610 ай бұрын
Hello Karl. I can also remember fishing Benacre back in the 80s. Our club used to have permission to park on farm land a bit nearer. It was a great venue with plenty of cod caught back then. It's a fair hike from Kessingland now 👍

@@david892006 Yes I used to drive all the way through the holiday park to the end then through a big gate that led to a field / rough standing where you could park, It looks to have all gone now with the expansion of the holiday park, You are right, that area was great for codling, I remember they were very partial to some yellow beads on the hook snoods around the pipe area 😉😄

Hi Enjoyed your Pakefield video, I like the look of the rods you were using and wondered if you could tell me the make and model, once again excellent video. Regards Mike
@david89200610 ай бұрын
Hello and thanks for watching. I normally detail my tackle set up so I do apologize. I was using a pair of Any fish Anywhere Tournament Pro Mk2 s paired up with Penn 525 mk4s. They are quite powerful rods for 'Scratching' but handle well in strong tides or if there's any weed about 👍

I have only just managed to get your pots, much appreciated. If you go between where you were fishing at, Cliftonville road and a few hundreds yards south south, towards the area they call the gun range, you will find that it is snaggy. It is not snags, but this may enlighten you to fact that the bottom from about 60-80tds out worst so at the point at the rock embankment. This is fossilized peat, like porous rock. This should be good for marine life. I fish big circle hooks and have no snags. I am putting big bait a very long distance. Still no snags.

Lol. Yes I realized that as soon as it went live. No it was +11c at the start but dropped to 6c in that mist 👍
