I would just like to take a moment to say thanks to you guys at TA fishing. I started shore fishing about 8 months ago and can honestly say your video's have been a massive help and your tips have been instrumental in my increasing success. Keep up the good work guys, the fishing world needs you.

I've been using a rig like this for quite awhile with kasami no 4 hooks on the east coast of Ireland especially on beaches that are hit with a lot smaller whiting and flatties using this rig has increased my numbers by easily 50% especially when using rag worm . keep up the good work guys love the videos !

Great video and good advice. I use these simple rigs myself especially in the river where distance is no issue. I've even made snoodless rigs with as many Aberdeen hooks as I like strung on drop shot style. started doing it in the river to keep the bait from crabs and to use up scraps of bait. The fish don't care, if they're there they'll have it! Thanks guys.

Great video Graeme, I've been trying different things out to make my flappers tangle less, you've shown me the way to do it now, many thanks. B.T.W. TAFishing is awesome !!!

When I was Young maybe around 7 yrs to 14yrs old I remember catching more than I do now . And it's because we used course fishing hooks of a size 8 or something with small baits . Much more fun than lunking half a squid out .

Absolutely Excellent video, I learned so much regarding knots, tackle equipment. I remember years ago I bought some French booms and your rigs are doing the same thing. DG

Six weeks ago (while fishing for Black Bream) I caught a 11lb cod on a 6 to 12lb rod 8lb braid and a size 4 hook with half a squid head on it as bait, I REALLY think that is the way to go

Good idea using the inherent stiffness and increased density of fluorocarbon line to aid in bait presentation. It’s like using a wire or plastic boom rig but with better casting qualities. Cheers TA Fishing, idea stolen and will be put into use!

Great knot, used it for years as a kid, very cheap. Looks like the knot used for mackerel feathers too.

I use a size 4 feather lure(s) and a really thin slither of squid (1mm wide x 4cm max) works really well when things are being nipped off using a little spinning rod.. Only need 2 inches hood length!

This set up is very similar to the hi-lo rig we use in the states for Striped bass, except the lead goes above the hooks.
@johnfothergill22358 жыл бұрын
You probably already know this, but to get a better stand off on the swivels cut a length of heat shrink tube and slide it up the snood and over the first eye in the swivel that your snood is attached too then apply a small amount of heat. Been doing it for years now.

Just a quick comment on your video, I had about 6 attempts at making the rig, just down to inexperience. Used it yesterday off the beach in Sutton on sea and guess what 15 fish in two hours other rod with different rig three fish. Thanks for your videos

Those Sakuma hooks are good, its what I use. They dont corrode, aint brittle (unlike fladen hooks), are are fairly cheap at 1 quid for 10.

Shouldn’t cut blood loops or use the tag ends for snoods, or droppers when fly fishing.. Your rig is 6ft long, how do you cast that out with your little spinning rod. ?
@connorgibson60148 жыл бұрын
can you do more drop shot/jigging videos please?
@cranefly237 жыл бұрын
Would you be kind enough to tell me if I should cut the top or bottom part of a blood-loop, please? I’m afraid I got a little confused - my fault, not yours, I hasten to add. Really enjoying the videos during a period of enforced inactivity, but at least it’s giving me time to tie some new rigs. Can’t wait to be back on my feet and out fishing again.
@TAFishing7 жыл бұрын
I try to cut the top loop,but in honesty it probably does not make much difference.

All good, nice knot! What I do find a bit off putting is your refusal to just show a brand name? Gamakatsu hooks is it? It's a great make of hook! You know it is. Why not just say? Are you that money orientated?. All it says is if some shit company offered you money you would say anything.

Not for Plaice .Lots of coloured beads seems to work for that species.For regular beach fishing I now don't bother with them.
