Many happy hours fishing the old pier in my teens caught lots of sole fishing close to pylons holding pier up using rag .Happy fishing from AUSTRALIA .PS good to see you guys police fishing regulations 😉

Another good vid, thank you. It looks like an entertaining day if you sit & chat with the three amigo's. Here in Florida we have the FWC, which is the fish & wildlife commission. They are a branch of law enforcement. If you get caught with an under, or oversized fish, there is a high chance that you will be fined around $500.00. I've seen a few people get a ticket for this, & it really warms my heart to see it happen.

I would love to have a pier to fish which is not on an estuary. Hastings looks a great place for some comfy fishing and chat, all year round (maybe, ?). Sad though to hear gentlemen only a few years my senior discussing measurements in centimetres. Loving your videos. ATB.

Yea piers do open up angling for all, beginners jnrs, and some disabilities are well catered for. I use inches for Some things and cm for others. Have to admit to cm more and more now though sorry! Thanks for watching, tight lines, Matt

Whiting will survive if you're close enough to the water when you put them back. They really can't handle drops from a height back into the sea.

Yes i agree, the only exception ive found are sometimes the really tiny ones do survive

Greetings from the other side of the pond always wanted to see how u. Guys did it over there and different types of flounder nice to see u can still catch fish on a pier there as the flounder here in New Jersey are almost all fished to Extinction wonder why they are?still pretty plentiful over there as opposed to over the pond may I ask if that is England or Ireland thanks for a great video tight lines god bless

That’s the problem with whiting I guess. Bass do seem to have a special place being conserved over other species that is true. No dress code on the pier ! 👍

a note on undersize fish we were fishing bridlinton south pier and one angler had a bag of fish the biggest was about 10cm and would not listern but then complain about the rules they spoil it for everybody
