Honestly the time to fish chesil ! Is after a big storm .. and it's still rough as ! Fishing chesil with perfect conditions is 90% off the time keeping your tackle shop going by buying bait ! When it's flat calm the trawlers come in close and clear up ... if you go again ? Bring 7/8 ounce weights , big rods and reels and expect to be casting into a force 4 with massive wave's crashing on the beach if you want too catch .

Honestly I've driven from west bexington down to Portland trying to find a spot to fish !! Chesil does produce .. but when there are 500/600 baits out there ! Someone is going to catch ..
