There you go again, taking the time to save a ling from dying needlessly using a device I would think most people have never heard of. Never mind the fact you put two "table sized" eating pollock back. You are a shining example to us all of what sea fishing is all about. As others comment on how enjoyable the fish locker videos are, I can only agree with them, you are a refreshing delight to watch what ever method of fishing/foraging/exploring you are doing. Thank you for posting and keeping us entertained.

I grew up on the river danube, my father was fishing regularly with a net. I loved fishing as i grew up but never had money to buy a rod, gear. So i made my own from 2 hazelnut sticks tied together, about 3 metres of line, a wine bottle cork for a floating rig, and old hooks i often found by the river. For lead i used lead sheets that i made from lead pipes, and wrapped around the line close to the hook. Had fun, didn't catch that many fish... Hopefully I'll start shore fishing this year and then who knows.

Another fantastic video John which shows your brilliant 'feel' for your craft, or 'gut instinct' for where fish are. It also shows your sustainable approach to nature which also raises a question from a non fishing guy like me. What is your driving force that lets you decide what size fish you will take home on any given day? The average guy would have taken the two Pollock that you caught & returned home to the table. Great device shown to help return a fish to the depth where it can recover more fully. Always educational & always entertaining, Don from South Aust.
