Try having a chat with Ian Clark (he has a channel on KZbin by the same name). He often fishes where you were. I was told by my father years ago that there's an underwater feature - like a valley that a bit deeper. I guess when you find it you'll know. Fish a chuck time. There's a wreck out there too. Nearer the Portland end. Darren reckoned at 100-130 yards out. Have a look on geographical on your app. It might show the seabed layout. Great stream Ryse & T. Thanks for sharing. Be Lucky 😀👍🍀

How do you rate those rods? (They are TDXS 133PM's arent they?) Seen someone advertising a pair for 150 and wondering if theyre worth a go to refurb them (new eyes and a reel seat)

Cracking bag fish, a good 5 lb. I've had a few and I've had a bag fish around 12lb mark an old hessian sack, Humber, North wall, Grimsby, not too far from your second mark behind the factories. About 300m further towards GY. Must be a record.....PMSL

Chesil can be a cruel mistress sometimes but deliver in spades on occasion. Well worth some more visits through the winter as you never know what it will throw up next.

I normally start heading to Chesil for better sizes and numbers of cod from October onwards.a few have been caught and my bro had one of just under 2lb last week.i only live 45 minute drive so I'll let you know when it's worth heading down here.another thing is I get the Sun paper £10 holiday for October dates on the big holiday park in Weymouth so then I'm only 10 mins away from Chesil and Weymouth for squiding too,weather permitting.theres always empty holiday statics in October peeps and there chucking in free entertainment pass so tribe can come to.SORTED NO MOANING!!!!

Cod are at chesil cos I've eaten one caught there.plus it's well to early yet for the numbers to be coming out!!!
@adriancoates98324 жыл бұрын
far to early for cod at chesil, sometimes you will but rare unless there has been gales blowing, you will need to wait for the autumn storms first, mid September onwards, plus the water needs to be coloured there, looking at your video the sea is far to still and clear, you was better off plaice fishing further west of chesil or if you want to be that end of chesil its only black bream worth going for
@FishHunterUK4 жыл бұрын
There was plenty of cod beaing caught the week leading up to this session bud and after but the clear water didn't help and there wasn't as many on that day but I heard of a least 5 that night after I left

@@FishHunterUK hi, nooo! i know chesil very well, its the same old stories you get down the local fishing tackle shops and social media, the thing is with chesil.....hundreds or even thousands of people can be fishing there each day all along the 18 mile stretch and then you get a couple of people who have caught a thew coddling/cod out amongst 500 or more other anglers then those thew report back on facebook or the tackle shops that they caught some and it gets exaggerated and then passed round more and more and then more exaggerated etc etc in fishing tackle shops, they forget it was 1 or 2 anglers out of 500 plus or maybe the coddling was only 25cms long for example and then they say it was a cod and of coarse the local tackle shops will tell you there are many being caught and say they have been many reports just to get people fishing and spend their money on tackle and bait to keep people hopeful, only the regular chesil fishermen who fish there every week for many years do well because they always know when to go (right weather conditions) and the right spots, chesil can be very disappointing most of the time but certain one off days it fishes very well. and of coarse as you probably already know people will always talk about their good days and catches but not their bad days
