Great information for someone that hasn't beach fished for 40 years. Drop down clip rigs, clips, bent clips imp's! Your videos are teaching me so much, well done keep up the great information.

Great video as always, having fished Reculver a few times at low tide it can produce well From my experience you need to wade out much further than you did, there's a drop off shelf approx. 150-200 yards out that drops off fairly quickly in to slightly deeper water. I usually walk out until I reach the shelf and then cast out and walk back to the shore, you will end up with 300+ yards of line out so fishing is not easy and quite physically demanding, but can be very rewarding particularly when the smoothounds are in there. Keep up the good work, looking forward to the next video :)

Ive waded at low tide the other side of the towers and always walk out for what feels like half a mile but I'd never done it on this side so was unsure of the terrain. I remember getting a big bass at night over Low the other side of the tower

Well at least you did try and it got you out. Not your fault the fish were not hungry thanks for taken the time, well here’s hopping the lockdown helps all you fishing people down South and gets you all back to better marks, we were luck up here in Scotland as in Fife we had to stay in ower council area and that gave us 53 miles of coast line, well till the next one tight lines stay safe
@gsp3 жыл бұрын
That is lucky! Fortunately I have a good 15miles of coastline local to me but unfortunately it's not fishing very well at all🤦♂️

Catching or not I enjoy the videos, scratching the saltwater itch for me until I can get out this summer on a week or two trip. Not sure if I will be going to Dorset, Isle of Wight or Aberystwyth Wales, it'll be wherever the family decides to go really. I might make a separate trip to Aber though if we don't end up going so I can target the bull huss and the big bass that chase the mackerel schools in. Great fun last year watching the joeys chase up balls of whitebait onto the shore every evening last summer, like glitter in the shingle with every wave and saw some good size bass busting on the joeys and getting pulled out on big lures, didn't have the right gear to go for them on lures myself that trip so I stuck to what I was doing and crossed my fingers but I'll be prepared next time, plus my little brother lives there so it'd be worth it just to see him to be honest

Blimey that's wetted my appetite too🤦♂️ I need to go bass fishing and get some exciting action. Could do with a big bass on a lure atm!

Hey dude, i fish that area alot, at low it stays shallow a long way out, you really need waders. The only area you will get any deph is along side the baulders directly in front of the towers on the far side. Nice vid 😁
@gsp3 жыл бұрын
Cheers mate👍 I was wading out up to my groin so would have been casting to at least waist deep. That's deep enough for anything, pity there's nothing about atm! 🤦♂️😂

Hello Greg hopefully going reculver very soon did you have any problems with the weed. That part of the beach always looks good but have alway# gone other side of the towers. I’ve had some nice rays and dog fish from there though anyway all the best mate keep them videos coming may see you on the beach sometime. Lee

Just watched the video have you tried just the other side of the towers by the fish farm seen a lot of locals fishing off that beach or between the towers and minnis bay also Greg what model shimano do use on your sonik gravity ht enjoy watching your videos when your stuck in Northampton with family that live in broadstairs and a young brother who’s got a boat in Ramsgate harbour and your not allowed to travel roll on April

I have tried the other side and that tends to be where I fish but I've never tried the West Side of the towers so decided to give it a go. I have the shimano ultegra ci4 xtb 14000 with quick drag. I love it
