Another good video. Cracking flounder off the beach to start the session with and my nemesis fish, the smoothie, was a beaut too. We've all been there with birds nests off reels or crossed lines.🤦‍♂️😁 Liking the action on those power tips and got me looking at them now too.

After some advice on a new rod selection for beach casting and fishing off the sea wall in my home town of Grimsby predominately in and around the Humber and surrounding beaches - looking for a rod able to cast circa 8oz safely and in a set price range I’ve narrowed my selection down to the Akios Hell Razor , the Fury FX450 or FX435 SRS but I can’t make my mind up which one 😂. If you had to choose which one would you go for ?? Love your KZbin channel mate , always a good watch 👍

Hiya mate. Firstly, the FX435 is sold out, so that narrows it down. The FX450 is only rated to 6oz (I have chucked heavier though), so you'd need a power tip and they're currently sold out too. Hi alex you ok pal, well done on your flounder and hound. Now you got the other tip its a cracking allround rod. Good session that m8 a nice flounder and hound that's why I only fish with one rod when the tide is pulling. Myself and my m8 fished runnels a couple of weeks ago I had bluey,mackerel, squid hoping for a ray or a hound but baits were getting hit by turbot, I was using my Ron Thompson axellarator giving it a try out ant it was the same the tip was holding nicely but with the reel on the ratchet line was peeling off due to the tide movement but will try again. The other thing to try is keeping the rid tip high up try and keep the line out of the water as much as possible. Especially when using heavy braid.

Braid is like cheese wire under tension. I know people do, but I wouldn't fancy it on a multi

@@theawfulangler I know quite a few ppl that use it on a multi but I've got 50Ib mono on it so if I do any rough ground marks pairing it up with the axellarator, I'm not a big caster but was practicing OTG with them and they are good had a couple of overruns but we're easy to pick out, abit of tweaking of the mag and wearing a thumb stall i will be ok 👍🎣🎣🎣

Nice looking rod! I was wondering how do you compare this rod with the penn tidal xt the green one that comes in 100-225 casting weigh was wondering to buy a spare tip for my tidal and as far as i know i havent seen any tip replacement for the penn and was wondering if this akios power tip might fit the tidal...what do you think?a diameter of the tip would help a lot.thank you tight lines!

I bought a pair of the Akios Fury 420s on your recommendation, I'm over the moon with them. They feel & cast like the Daiwas I "keep for best" but for less than a quarter of the price.

No top section snapped off when I got snagged up, got frustrated and snapped off, and ended up in the Irish Sea, fishing rough ground in St David’s at the time.

Having your tripod like that is why your tripod is going over, it was the first thing I noticed. Spread them legs out don't worry too much about the stable bars they ant all that on them tripods I removed mine thank me later.
