A brilliant film & edit mate. My son Jona works at Fiordland Kayaks, and I grew up there, so I loved this mission. Your ability to fix the yaks and traverse some gnarly conditions made this an epic video. 5 stars.

I loved this video, what an adventure especially seeing how big the waves could get etc. you definitely need to be fit and know how to survive in that environment. What did you do with the 2 deer that you shot? Did it go to waste because you certainly wouldn't have eaten it all in the short time you were there.

Thanks Tempest4eva. We took about 5 days worth of meat from each of the deer. That's about all we could keep fresh without a fridge. I generally take everything I can from a deer, but on a journey, that doesn't work. We made a couple of Falcon/kārearea very happy when they found our deer at Kaipo Bay. It doesn't go to waste.

Hey mate only just started your video and it looks great so far. What model of Barracuda kayak are you using?

We both Had Barracuda Interfaces, They were a very might build with a 3mm hull. We could have asked for 5mm hulls, but I love the lightness of the boats we had.
