Sea Kayaking in Victoria, Port Campbell to Loch Ard Gorge return 26 Dec 2019

Victoria… for reasons beyond my control I find myself in Victoria. Well, no point dwelling on bad luck, I suppose I had better make the best of it. Had a quick paddle, thought it would make me feel a bit better. Obviously coming from NSW it is hard to not feel smug and superior here. Nothing much to report, just a long boring coastline, nothing like good old NSW. Sure, there were a couple of caves, and yes there was a fairly cool arch I had to paddle through. Saw a nice little penguin. Oh well try to enjoy this….

What the, this is sooo nice.. I didn't even know this is possible or even legal.. do you need to have your own gear or be a professional or something?

We have our own gear. There are no restrictions on paddling in this area, but you need to know what you are doing and understand the dangers, take the right safety gear and know how to use it, read and understand weather forecasts. Glad you liked the footage. All the best.

@@poppyblop484 I'd recommend that you had some experience first, up to the level of Sea Skills (A Paddle Aust. qualification), or go with an experienced paddler. For me, I have been paddling for years, started in rivers, then estuaries, then bays, then the ocean, then surf and rocks. it's a bit of a process.
