Ken ecstatic that you made a great presentation in a location 5 miles up the road. Even greater is the fact you made it with a person who I consider a great friend for many years. Patrick has promoted the beautiful art of paddling and encouraged me to follow beautiful sport of which I still feel I’m quite a novice. North Clare paddling continues to show the best of what my beautiful County has to offer, and incites me to be a proud Clareman. Thanks Ken.🙏👍

Cheers! Couldn't have enjoyed the trip more, and am really glad to have got to know Patrick. We had a great time. I'll be back!

I am enjoying this series so much! My grandfather was from Ireland but emigrated to England as a young man, and while I have been to England many times, I still haven't made it to Ireland. Your videos have really made reignited my desire to go visit (and added new places and experiences to explore!). Thank you for sharing your experiences with us all!

Great video, I have enjoyed seeing all your trips around Ireland, north and south. Keep them coming.

County Clare is a gem, I'm glad you got to experience it in good soft Irish weather. As you might have realised by now, everyone in Ireland thinks their patch is best. So in that spirit...never mind those people talking about Donegal, you need to get down to West Cork to really see the best paddling in Ireland! 🤣

Incredible views mate...thanks Those castles are cool even from a distance. I used to live in the UK and that weather is typical for the region....almost about to rain... followed by almost sunny 🤔

All I could think was what would happen if there's a power cut and all the lights go out while your in that Cave Hehe. Another awesome paddle Ken, so funny when you said (we can't see where we are going but it's over there somewhere)

I haven't watched all 3 of these videos yet but I'm loving that you're in Ireland. It's a beautiful country and we are spoiled. If you haven't already I really recommend reading "Paddle: a long way around Ireland" by Jasper Winn. It's a lovely book about kayaking around the Irish coast. Really got me into exploring my own country more and getting in the boat. Although mostly recreationally, the sea is a bit sporty for my tastes 😅

I'll check that book out. Sean Cahill actually joined us on this day, and he circumnavigated Ireland with Jon Hynes a few years back. His stories played a role in inspiring the expeditions that I have planned for this season! Stay tuned. :)

Beautiful! What time of year? Judging by the clothing, summer Autumn? You should do the Great Glen Canoe Trail in Scotland one day. Easy 60 mile paddle, if the wind is kind!

This was October. Weather was off and on, but no crowds! :). Scotland is on the list!

We're going to Ireland for our first ever visit in about a month. This seems too coincidentall. So I have to ask, how did you know? .... 😂😂😂 Your video only makes us more excited for our trip. I wish we were kayaking, I don't think there will be enough time this trip with tours and visiting friends. Also, our Virgos won't fit in the overheard, much less under our seat.

This is a have. You expect us to believe there is an Irishman named Patrick? Suppose next you'll be telling us his brother is Michael. Beautiful place.

Ken if you don't spend plenty of time in Donegal your time in Ireland has been wasted 😑

Normally guides are in their twenties, but Europe has a demographic shortage of youth.
@brianmacmahuna7 ай бұрын
That’s quiet true. It’s very very difficult to get guides in their twenties. In Ireland most emigrate after university for a few years. Some come back …. Like I did but a lot of my friends put down roots in the US New Zealand and Australia. Our biggest export for many years were our young people.
