Stunning photography Frank plus you've got the right mix of sound throughout. love your commentary. So jealous of you and Matt bobbing around on those calm waters in the sun and with those outstanding views.

Outstanding Frank. The Hebrides are always a magical sight! You and Matt cracked it with the weather, pleasure to watch!

That stretch of coastline there, Ram is REALLY something. The next video we do it again, and I pushed on for another mile or so, it is a really wild, and exposed spot, but given these conditions it's a really easy paddle with little tide to worry about.

@23:16 Wow your life really does have a porpoise -- lots of them! Once a bunch of us were paddling the length of Colvos Passage and a harbor porpoise swam beside us for miles. It was really cool.

A very nice series if vids of an area I love. Hundreds of fishing trips I and a sadly gone, Skye crofting friend had. Just friendly comment,,, Neist Point pronounced NEEST Point.

Thanks Bob, one thing I have noticed is that even the locals pronounce stuff different to one another.

Hello Frank, You've done it again. A brilliant video, loved the Skylark at the beginning and well done for catching the Porpoises. I've been living on Anglesey now for three years very near to Bull Bay but still haven't seen one. In the meantime as I type this message 'Horizontal Island' is living up to it's nickname. Cheers Pete Maher / Penysarn-Anglesey

Little secret, to see Porpoise, Point Lynas is the place. The owner tells me they are there every day. Me and Matt did the Skerries, this August, and there was a huge pod, and I've seen them every time I've done the Skerries. I did Puffin Island in August and 2 passed me so close, I could've touched them with my paddle. As with all these encounters, you cannot engineer it, it just happens naturally, with Porpoise, I usually hear them before I see them.

another amazing vid frank makes me hanker after a return trip myself the weather on skye is always a gamble and sometimes it pays out glad it did for you
@GBPaddling8 жыл бұрын
Hanker is a good word Richard, yes it had been too long since my last visit, and it really is a gamble with the weather whatever time of year you go. Best thing is, neither I nor Matt chose the timing for this trip, but the fella I was working for at the time - he went away, so I said 'What's good for the Goose etc' and off we went - for exactly 1 week longer than predicted, ha ha. You really need to be self-sufficient up here though, as you probably know, it can be many miles between shops, and Pubs are very thin on the ground indeed.

Nice one Ian, you clearly possess the epitome of great taste, ha ha. We kept this weather for the rest of the trip and it was just awesome, so the remaining videos should be awesome.

Cracking trip - jealous big time!!!
@GBPaddling8 жыл бұрын
Well Jason, if you feel like doing this trip, I can assure you, it is a doddle, no big tides to worry about, just choose a sunny day with light winds, and when you get to Idrigill Point you will KNOW you have arrived, big time.
@JasonBeverley8 жыл бұрын
You timed the weather for that trip my friend - unbelievable indeed. Hoping to move to Skye in the next few years so my boats will get out on a regular basis i hope. You never know we might just paddle past each other?

Thanks mate, the weather really came through for us here. The Guy who let us stay on the field predicted we'd have a good day, that very morning, what a visionary he turned out to be, ha ha.

Franktastic -- this one's going on the big screen tonight. Shows that good things sometimes come to those that wait. Pity about the polystyrene whale vomit!

Have a look at the few seconds after the Whale vomit. and you see Jesus casting his nets, just like in the good old days, when the fish were plentiful in the Sea of Galilee, ha ha.
