Sometimes it is good idea to play mixed type: Auto, but altogether with keeping an eye on what's going on. This way we can put red marker on the most weakened oponents and so that eliminate them faster. Very useful, helps to defeat even 20-25-level stronger characters. Apart of that - Trinkets rules 😊

For Rogue's Rumble and to get 1 or 2 stars everywhere on hard trials, Ahab and cordelia are a great 2 to run when you get them. Then add your 3 best damage heros. Especially season heros like Bones, Griffin and Ophelia. :) With OP heros from season 2 or 3, use your 5 best damage heros and curbstomp everything.
