Sea of Thieves | First Encounters with the Kraken, Megalodon, and More!

Pretty much all my first encounters in the game, what more do you need to know.

Since this video suddenly blew up again I want to address a few things I've been seeing in the comments: 1. Yes I know how to fight the kraken, just not during the time of this video, which was uploaded 4 years ago. Like the title says, most of these interactions were our first times. 2. A lot of people asked if the megalodon in the first clip was the Shrouded Ghost, which I'm pretty sure it isn't. It has a red tip but the rest of the body is dark, so it was most likely a shadowmaw. 3. A handful of you are mad over my friend eating chips loudly at 3:21 LOL. Can't control that but I thought it was funny to see. To my surprise, this video unexpectedly went insane with views since I originally uploaded it, and with it a massive surge of new subscribers. I just want to thank you all for letting me reach 1k subs and allowing me to begin monetizing my video. The money I made from this video has literally helped me out when I couldn't find a job for months while I was studying in University. It kept me fed until I was able to find a job later on, and I can't thank y'all enough for that. Currently I am still in University, but still do play games (although not as much as I used to). I do not play Sea of Thieves anymore, so I'm sorry if anyone is looking for more SOT content. However, the videos I upload now have much more effort put into them than this video, and honestly I'm way more proud of them than what I did here. I would be extremely grateful if my current content receives the same amount of support this video was shown! Again, thank you so much for helping me out during rough times, and I hope you guys continue supporting me with my new (and quite inconsistent) content. I'm mostly here goofing off with my friends and enjoy sharing our moments

I play this every now and then with my cousin. In my first ever match, my first time ever on a ship, we encountered the purple megalodon, a regular megalodon, AND a Kraken. We managed to survive, but our ship didn't. We lucked out and found a rowboat and got all our loot on it and got to an outpost. I felt so badass. 😂

Came to the game recently, friends had gotten off and I decided to go solo on le sloop. Did gold hoarder quest, was heading to the second objective. Water started turning pitch black and I was like what, heard the roar, still had no fucking clue, and I got lucky and had a ton of loot on my ship. I saw the tentacles and I remembered that my friends told me there was a kraken. Proceed panicked cannonballs, flintlock shots, and panicked stabbing of the kraken when I got lifted into the sky by it. Not long after my ship disappeared off the face of the earth, it’s loot never to be found.

My first megaladon encounter was so incredibly memorable. My friends and I were just chilling on our ship on our way to an outpost or something and I started hearing the music. I was like “dude I hear music! No trust me that’s not banjo music! That’s fucking boss music” we turn around and the megaladon is right behind us and charging at us. We thankfully survived but goddamn that was incredible.

My first encounter with a Kraken was pure gold. I remember it was my first time ever playing Sea of Thieves with my friend and our ship had sank. We begin leaving the outpost and then I saw the water black, and literally said, "Why'd the water go all black?" I had no previous knowledge of this game before hand and then we were just terrified.

It wasn’t my first encounter with a kraken, but I still have a good story. My friend and I had just finished killing a megladon and we were looting it’s body with a rowboat. I look behind me and say, “oh shit that’s a kraken attacking the ship!”

I remember meeting my first kraken out in the bloodwaters. I had to come back to the blues to live but right before I got in the blues I was chased by a meg. It was my first time ever seeing either and I didn't even know they existed.

The first time and only time I saw a megaladon was when my friend and I were playing, and he brought the topic up. I didn’t believe him and said there was no megaladon. I swear on my life that a few seconds after saying that very sentence, it showed up. I was so genuinely scared and shocked. I will never forget that legendary moment!

How to beat the Kraken as a solo sloop: 1. Lower your anchor and stop the ship immediately. 2. Fire at the base of the nearest tentacle. 3. If the kraken damages your ship, don’t take more than 30 seconds to dump out water or make repairs.

Having watched KZbin videos of players going off on a quest to summon the Megalodon I thought that myself and my friend would be safe. VERY WRONG! About 10 minutes into playing for the first time I suddenly notice that the waves around the ship were really thrashing around. It took me a second before I realised that I recognised the scene from the KZbin videos I had watched! In complete shock, I was only just able to yell over the mic "I think the Megalodon is here!" Before a giant fin appeared beside us, then the next second it was up againt the boat to give us a scary view into it's giant Jaws!
