We lived on a dairy when I was a kid. We lived on the property as well as some of the employee's and their children. We all played in cow poop. We didn't fully realize it was mud/ dirt/ mixed with poop. Plus you become blind to the smell because you get used to it.

We're meant to eat a lot of dirt when you're a kid. Nobody used to have allergies! Personally I loved visiting my Uncle's farm as a kid and he would slaughter a sheep let us inflate the lungs, jump on the bladder, wash out intestines.... great childhood.
