Sea Serpent (4K 2020 OFF Ride POV)- Morey's Piers, Wildwood, NJ

Being the first Vekoma Boomerang to be installed in the United States, the Sea Serpent has been a classic attraction on the Wildwood boardwalk. For the 2020 season, the ride was equipped with all new Vekoma MK1212 Trains and Magnetic Brakes to provide a smoother and more comfortable ride experience. Hope you guys enjoy!

Same here. First upside down coaster for me. I remember when they were building it and, as a kid, I was petrified and in awe of its massiveness. It took me the following summer after it was functional to brave it. And I was completely hooked after that.

@@literaticrux8292 I actually chickened out my first time and got off the line. I still remember it. I was really young back then, maybe 8 or 9? Then later that summer I went to SFGA and had the Great American Scream Machine as my first looping coaster. Brings back memories!

This isn't the first time I've seen this happen. Sidewinder at Hersheypark was given these trains probably close to 10 years ago now and I always thought it ran slower with them. One of the ways you can tell it's running slower is where the train stops on the chain lift now vs where it used to (higher up). Not to mention the cable lift seems to have been slowed down since it definitely used to pull the old trains up quicker.
