Sea Star hydraulic ram install and bleeding

This was a 48 foot ocean yacht with a Seastar steering ram that had completely sheared off. The owner complained of no steering and had to bring it back with just the engines. It didn't take me long to find out what the cause was. On top of the ram being sheared off from the rudder armature there was no fluid left in the system. I ordered a new ram and installed and bled the system.

@@IamSpectre2020 yes you are right! Very surprising on a 48’ boat. But there it was… just the fill on the helm. Only like 2 qts in the entire system.
