They are disappointed in their execution on appearance. Fine dining is a fantasy of perfection that is achieved, and repeated dish after dish. For food at that level their presentation (due to rushed preparation) was not correct. I'd be very happy to prepare and eat food like they made, but I'm not working in a fine dining kitchen.

Maybe that’s something she’s always struggled with, I don’t know, but from my personal experience I’ve been a lot harder on myself since becoming a mom. On the flip side, I was almost emotional watching her interact with her baby, kissing her over and over and talking to her and waving to calm her down when the baby was off-camera and fussing. It’s just so universal, that love we have for our babies. ❤️

I did fieldwork on the coast of Hudson Bay during the summer for a few years. One time, our boat ride from town to our field site was a couple hours late because they were out harvesting sea urchin. I don't speak Inuktitut, and our boat driver had limited English (and his wife none), but they broke out some of the urchins as a snack for themselves and I was visibly interested so they offered me some. Spent the two hour boat ride learning how to crack open and clean the urchin (a cup of Hudson Bay water to rinse) from the wife while he drove. He didn't need to translate - body language and demonstration were plenty. Lots of laughter at my (very poor) knife technique as I practiced. It was a feast! There really isn't anything like really fresh sea urchin.
