It is so much fun to watch birders from other regions be so excited about birds that are fairly common for me, really makes me take a step back and appreciate the north american species!

It's a Weasel not a Stoat pal. Short tailed, lacking black tip.👍🏻

South Gare was where I saw the Brown Booby last year. Some very friendly birders there from memory. 👍👍👍

It was a weasel not a stoat. Stoats are a bit bigger but the diagnostic identification mark is the tail.... long and bushy with a black tip is a stoat..... short and stubby is a weasel. More birders should take more interest in other wild creatures and be able to identify them.

I love how you narrate. Btw, I think you are going to blow through your goal!

Thanks Ed! I am genuinely quite conscious that my narrating could get boring, or at least not keep peoples attention, so I really appreciate your comment.

Great video! Do you have a website in the UK to find places where rare or scarce birds are seen? Im hoping to visit Scotland on vacation in a few weeks and dont really know the best places to watch birds.

We use an app called Birdguides, this finds the real rarities. Scotland is incredible, we are hoping to visit in the summer.

The free SOC (Scottish Ornithological Club?) app is well worth downloading. Will give you plenty of ideas if you haven’t visited before.

How do you find out where birds have been spotted? Is it Facebook groups?
