On yacht loans you only pay 15% of the yacht on average going up to 30% so you have to say to yourself is 10 of these worth my massive yacht

I just rented three of these with my two kids in Mexico (Xel-Ha) and we had an absolute blast for an hour. Very easy to learn to use. The best place to use them is in something like 20ft of water with plenty of fish around to chase and rocks to explore :-) They are really good fun. If you gave me the choice of riding a jet-ski for an hour or a Seabob it would be the Seabob every time. A jet-ski gets boring after about 15 minutes, Seabob will keep you entertained day after day, especially if you're in an interesting underwater environment. I'm surprised at the cost but I imagine that's down to how many they sell, they're very specialist, they're not going to sell millions of the things.

Waaaaaay overpriced. I can buy 3-4 jet skis with a trailer or 2. Seabobs should only cost 2-3k at most. The markup for seabobs is just plain theivery and greed.

"As deep as 25 feet". I know this is an old review but their website states a max operating depth of 40m (130 feet). I can see issues with using scuba equipment - a novice diver could easily ascend / descend too quickly. Personally I'd be very careful combining the two and only dive shallow - freediving with a Seabob would be my choice. Yes theyre expensive but youre probably paying for testing and QA. I wouldnt want to have a unit fail while in the deep.

The price is so stupid. I have a gas water scooter and 2 electric Yamaha water scooters and they are perfect for what I do. $16k for a stupid little water scooter. This is something that only rich people would buy for their yachts. No normal people are buying this.
