We will be boarding the Odyssey this week for 14 days. Seabourn is our "home away from home" and this voyage will put us well over 250 sailed days. Your video is relaxing and spot on - you should be a Seabourn spokesperson. The only thing I would have mentioned is that your bar is stocked with whatever you want: beer, wine, soft drinks or up to two bottles of your favorite liquor (rum, bourbon, Baileys, etc) with mixers. Additionally, if you love Osetra caviar, it is available to you with all the trimmings any where and time on board.

Wow, what an incredible experience! Even for the budget minded, sometimes the ultra premium and luxury market is cheaper than mass market, especially in single sailing exotic areas. Earlier this summer, Seabourn was cheaper than HAL from Iceland to Copenhagen. Going down to the Amazon from FL or the Caribbean, Viking Ocean is cheaper per night as well. Even if it is just reasonably more, the value is obvious.
@CruiseTipsTV Жыл бұрын
You make an excellent point! How are ya; by the way??

@@CruiseTipsTV We're doing well, getting ready to expand our online sails into the Hawaiian market, been selling Alaska for almost 9 years now. We just got back from a 14 night HAL Alaska cruise. 75 MPH wind had the ship listing at 25 degrees for hours, which canceled our stop in Kodiak. There was a large outbreak of noro, and someone vandalized my truck at a Las Vegas airport hotel in the middle of the trip. On the positive, we noticed very few cuts to quality since 2019, Alaska was still amazing (especially the port of Valdez), and we had a great time hanging with one of the bartenders and late night passengers at the BB King Lounge.

Wonderful and informative video. Thank you! We are considering doing an Alaska 10 day Inside Passage cruise in 2025. We have never done a cruise before and want a more intimate experience, with less people and definitely less or no kids… would be great! Just have a couple of questions… my husband suffers from “motions sickness”, being that these are smaller vessels… do you think it would be better for him to do a bigger ship? Do you have a Seabourn Cruise” you would recommend that would follows within that 7-11 day timeframe allow us to see polar bears, Denali, Glacier Bay NP and the Fjords? I’m just starting to research all of this! Thank you again! Great job! Julie
@CruiseTipsTV9 ай бұрын
Thank you so much for your comment. Thankfully the water in Alaska tends to be quite calm unless you cruise in the later season for example, mid September or even early October. That time can be very rocky. There are no polar bears to see in Alaska. You would need to go to the arctic Circle for those. Most vessels, regardless of size has pretty good stabilization these days so you should be OK whether you choose a small ship or a big ship. I do highly recommend Seabourn for Alaska!!

Great video, but I think you should mention that fares show starting at about $400 on the big lines and Seaborne at about $2000. I know it’s not a fair comparison because Seaborne is an outside suite with so many things included that are extra on the big traditional lines… but I think it is important to point out. I’m not trying to be mean and have done about 30 cruises on both luxury lines and traditional lines…

I feel like you’re really burying the lead here but not mentioning that the cruise is also twice as much as a HAL Alaska cruise with a package that includes dining, beverages, and gratuity. And the Seaborne price doesn’t include any excursions. It’s about 10% of the capacity, so it’s understandable but I think it’s ridiculous to not even mention it.
@CruiseTipsTV3 ай бұрын
I think most people understand that Seabourn is an ultra luxury line - not really comparable to a premium cruise experience. Thanks for your comment, and have a wonderful day!

@@CruiseTipsTV I guess I’m in the minority then. I’m actually new to cruising and am taking my first cruise in June. I didn’t know the names of the luxury cruise lines, and when I learned them, I had to look on their websites and compare the same itineraries and check if excursions were included to get a better gauge of the actual price comparisons. All understandable and reasonable in doing research, but again- really surprised there wasn’t a just a single line mentioning the price comparisons. I appreciate your content though!
