@mcgovey37
@mcgovey37 4 жыл бұрын
Yes, I found this today while working on my 2000 XP 951. After looking up on greenhulk.com it is normal in the small line.
@markcrandall7230

Yes! @16:16 that fuel line has a restrictor in it! You can feel/see the bulge (what She said...). Do not discard that line unless you remove and re-install in replacement line. It’s important for proper carb/motor function!

I believe that year xp had the 951cc engine, so it should be the same.

Hy there, are there any adjustments necessary after cleaning the carbs, in order to work properly?
@SprocketHead
@SprocketHead 4 жыл бұрын
George Gyl yes you’ll have to set them back to factory settings and tune them in once on the water.

@@SprocketHead Thank you for your prompt answer. Could you help with this resetting/tunning final step? Do you have any tutorial or some pictures so i can make an idea what are those resetting and tunning taps😊

Ok, so it's about those high speed/low speed adjustments (btw, are they nozzles?) and the idle adjustment right? So far i figured it out that only the low speed and the idle adjustments need to be tuned. My questions are: 1 Are they reachable once i put my carbs back on, can i get my hands on those taps? 2 Can i tune my low speed adjustments with my carbs removed (i've just got them cleaned) and then tune my idle adjustment with my engine started?
@SprocketHead
@SprocketHead 4 жыл бұрын
George Gyl for the most part you’re right about the high not needing to be messed with. Though it does need it sometimes. Typically you can adjust idle/low screws with carbs on, though you may need to remove air box depending on model of ski. The only thing you can do with the carbs off the ski is set back to factory settings which again, depends on model of ski and engine.

@@SprocketHead Thanks again for your reply. I have a Seadoo 951 GTX Limited, it's from 2001. Do you know what is the factory resetting on low screw for this type of carbs?

Any idea what size those choke cable set screws are? I ordered the part number seadoo lists and was sent a hex screw but mine has those bolts that secure the choke cable like yours does

This is a waste of time and effort don't ever remove carburetors without rebuilding them completely always blow carburetor cleaner through your jets and check every seat gasket and seal also check your Popoff pressure because all you will be doing is wasting your time and effort I have been working on 2-stroke jet skis for over 20 years never do this
