Hi there, great job mate, you're awesome! What about those black rubber traversals on the back and under feet? Is it possible to leak there too?

That's for your OPAS which I see has been deleted on that machine. They should include that cap on the OPAS delete kit

I blew up like a bomb on a Sea Doo GTX years ago. It was the model before they switched to this design though. I bought it brand new right out of high school and had a ball on it till 2 months later it almost killed me lol. Had gas fumes built up on the hull with no way to vent it. I’ve had 3 more since though. My last one was around 150 HP but it was stolen.

I seen same thing happen one full of fumes ignited when he hit starter now that woulda been a video

@@BurninGas8.1 that’s exactly what mine did. I had it in the boat house but luckily it wouldn’t start in there. If it had there’d still be remnants of me in there. It would have killed my cousin and best friend too probably. They were right beside it. I told them to push me out and when I hit the starter again it fired and took off wide open for about two seconds w/o me pressing the gas. Then it exploded and shot me above the power lines. Broke my back and neck but I didn’t get a single burn. I had pressure on my spine and couldn’t move but when the swelling went down I was able to move everything normally except it was extremely painful. I’m lucky for sure.

@@BurninGas8.1 nice, I'll have to try this test as my Sea Doo is leaking pretty badly. What is that valve supposed to do anyway?

Thank you for this video. Started having issues with water intake a few months after OPAS block off. We found the valve had the same issue as you show but only had issues intermittently. Your fix by looping the hose back on itself is better than how we were going to fix it as we were going to cap the hoses and route them above the waterline to prevent siphoning. Looping them back is smart as they are not pressurized now that OPAS is essentially deleted.

@@BurninGas8.1 Yes, valve and hoses are part of the OPAS system. Looks like your sled has the block-off kit after OPAS removed. Seals are known to fail on them and OPAS often removed to eliminate leaks. System also didn't perform properly in choppy water, and reduced top speed. But you give up better steering control when off power with it rem'd.

I also removed the opas but I made a block off plate for that fitting and screwed it straight up into the hull.
