I totally agree with you. Most shops don’t give a crap nor respect your ski. I won’t name them but I see it all the time on the videos they post. This is my ski and I’m very meticulous with it. Ernesto Calas is very respectful and professional with his customer’s ski.

Ever since I came across your channel I got hooked on it. You share lots of great information especially for someone new to the jetski world. I am trying to learn as much as I can because there's so many Mechanics trying to take advantage of small situations. I took my 2006 seadoo gtx to get carbon ring replaced and guy wants to charge $800 plus parts to do it. After seeing your vid I will be picking up my hull and attempt doing it myself. He stated he had to remove ingine to be able to remove shaft 😮.Thank you for your time on making each video and educating us. Love your spark man makes vids more interesting 👍🏼

I see you hit 78mph with the Seat off. 77 mph with seat on is really good for a pretty much stock RXT with just a prop and Intercooler. Not to mention how hot it is right now.

How often do you see the pto seal bearing fall apart when removing driveshaft for carbon ring replacement? Is this a common problem for 3+ year ski jet with few hundred hours on it? Wanted to replace the carbon ring on my 2020 GTI (was rental until 2021) but got warned that at least the bottom bearing with seal must be replaced (not mentioning the driveshaft due to salt water corrosion).

Was assuming had more hours on it & couldn't work out how clean & tidy the engine bay was , but then i saw 27 or so hrs...

But you should see how many skis with around same hours or even less with engine bay looking like 💩. I’m very meticulous in detailing it after every ride.

Why doesn't Season go back to the older more reliable design? Hoese,bearing carrier with grease fitting,and hose clamps. You grease it every other ride,no leaks.

I was thinking more specifically, some things are cool factor /cosmetic, some are reliability but don’t add power like valvetrain stuff, and then actual horsepower improvements.

Hi Ernesto, I have a error code P0340 'Camshaft Position Sensor 'A' Circuit (Bank 1 or Single Sensor) Do you have any advice on how to rectify the issue or where to start with? My Sea Doo is a 2023 Rxp-X Apex. I checked the electrical and seems like there is power from the harness to the sensor, and I replaced the sensor but the code still pops up.

Wow, that’s a good question. It’s up to you. I would stick with either Seadoo or Yamaha.

Does any sign of carbon dust indicate a bad carbon seal? Or some dust is acceptable on >2018 seadoos as long as there is no water dripping/spraying?

If you don’t have any water I wouldn’t worry about it

Hey Calas, question I hear this rxt x300 starts very smooth, my brand new 2022 with 10 hours makes sounds canister rattle noise when it starts from back side sounds like something lose, but when I check with my hands it seems all ok, any idea ?

If it makes the noise in the water, you are in trouble if the noise is on the trailer outside the water, it’s normal
