Dennoch ❤

I live in Scotland and you can use water from The North Sea. It's using only about 6.5 dkh and 33pt.

That's low dkh right? For the sea

Hi, great video! I am very interested in Julian's sump / filtration / refugium tank. I noticed on some other older videos that it used to be a macro algae refugium tank but that it has transformed into a softie type tank with Xenia. Now I have seen other videos from other aquarists of 100% pure xenia refugiums and their owners say they work great. I am curious if Julian deliberately chose this path or if it evolved naturally that way. Also if he has seen a benefit or difference in the use of either algae or xenia for refugiums. I don't know if you could ask him, but I am very curious to ask the question.

Back around 1991ish, Julian narrated a VHS tape about reef aquariums. I'd love to know it's name, if it's archived anywhere, and what the music was in the opening credits. I've literally been obsessing over this for years, haha! Thanks so much for any info. ☺

Thanks for the great vid. Looks like he changed the lights on his set up to two larger ones with the radion. Can you confirm which ones are the larger two units he's upgraded to?

Can’t help but notice nobody commented on his tank, the tank is crap . No doubt the guy knows all there is to know but damn , that tank is no masterpiece
@aquariumaddickuk Жыл бұрын
It reminds me of the German tanks from the 80s/90s.lots of soft, sometimes drab corals with emphasis on movement.its not my thing but certainly very "natural" & nicely retro
@thomasdirocco Жыл бұрын
And what does your 17 year old tank look like Bobby? Most hobbyists would be pressed to even keep a tank going 5+ years, let alone nearly 20.
@PhotographyInFlight418311 ай бұрын
The look of ones tank and how they choose to present it is very subjective, you are certainly entitled to your opinion. But as Mom would say, if you have nothing nice to say best to keep it to yourself. Cheers!
@DOTReef11 ай бұрын
A guy this busy does not have the time to keep all the hard / nicer corals. This tank must be running on the basics, simple yet cool to see it running this long. Also remember that what's really cool to you is something that's not quite attractive to him. Always enjoy hearing him chat about what is really cool to him and why. Gives me a little insight at where his brain is.
