I love this watch for its champagne dial, color scheme and overall looks. I don't really understand the movements yet as I am new to the hobby. However, I agree with Sourabh Da regarding the price. Honestly, I am in no position to pay 20k plus for a watch which doesn't even offer water resistance.

Hi, very helpfull info acquiring a Seagull 1963, in the vdo. could u help n guide if and where or through whom I can get a Seiko SKX781J orange monster Gen 1 and a SKX007J? I could see a lot of PPL offering these on FB but the question of authenticity holds me back as that would lead to financial loss as well as mental trauma (sort of) due to getting a fake or repaired second hand watch.

Hi Ashok .. the orange master seiko is no more production if u needed the second hand yiu can try Chrono 24 which is Geniune seller but same orange dial offered by Seiko Sub brand Alba that may satisfy tooo and about that SKX007j it also stopped production hard tp get new one even in USA it has been priced $1000 above which is not worth for that price but we have many seiko lastest version availabe . And i am Watch advisor have been advised watch to two KZbinrs recently if u need any guide u can reach me ...

I even spoke with one of the seller's from India only so I could save on duties but the price he asked is insane. NH35 being a non decorated movement, seasoned collectors prefers solid case back with relevant embossment, I like it in this watch actually

Thank you for such a comprehensive review. Extremely helpful to take buying decision. I have seen some sellers were selling these watches around 18k price range but now I am assuming those are may be with lower configuration, brass case acrylic crystal etc.

This looks good in your hands. The movement looks beautiful and i agree with your assessment. The complication also scares me regarding the servicing and maintenance. While i like the colors , the font puts me off. Ajwain uses the same movment in the sholavaram. Was planning to get that earlier . But again the complexity if movement and getting it serviced in India repels me to even targeting ut

The use and throw philosophy of Seagull where one has to discard the movement completely in case of any repair work is the primary reason I will never buy this. This is a mechanical robotic watch with no soul of its own.
