A few years ago I stumbled onto this playthrough when it still HAD annotations, and the overall experience was enjoyable enough for me to play the game myself. Now that I'm revisiting this, it hurts to realize that this was one of KZbin's unfortunate victims. A tragedy.

Thanks. Pretty much this whole game is wrapped up in the strategery, the numbers and the foresight and knowing what items are what, so annotations/commentary are really the meat of any roguelike LP. I will now watch this a second time!

Oh wow, this is a surprisingly recent posting. I just finished up the DS version of this game myself, not even knowing it existed until a friend lent it to me. Good stuff, haha. I'll definitely be watching the rest of this series.

Very impressive, I've beaten the game 2 times (after leveling up a weapon many times). I've come close a few times on an empty save too. One of my favorite games!

This game looks phenomenal. Here I thought the only roguelike in this era were Dragon Crystal, Fatal Labyrinth and Brandish. I remember getting confusion raped by goddamn mages in Fatal Labyrinth...

It's happening to me as well. The graphics and sound are so poor when you go from SNES games to a Genesis one. Also the game seems even more scarse on explanations than Shiren/Torneko, LOL
