Hi, could you tell me exactly what kind of steel it is (example 1045, 1055, 440C or what elce)?

I can’t tell you what steel but I bought a 2.6kg roughneck felling axe and the steel is very strong I haven’t chipped it once and I’ve sharpened to edge to almost razor sharp so I assume it’s a good quality product and it’s quite cheap too for an axe they are a quality brand it’s a shame there’s not many reviews on the products

Roughneck are underrated, they make quality strong tools. BTW, hickory, like Ash, is perfect as it absorbs shock well. No reverberating handles!!!
