I much more enjoy the North Carolina! She may not be the the most durable, but she’s got the firepower, speed, and maneuverability to get out tough situations. Colorado is just your typical slow lumbering Dreadnought.

I love the Colorado. The secret is to gun the engine from the first second and try not to slow down. Also, stay in the center; if you get on a flank you'll never be able to reach the opposite flank. It has 16" guns that hit like a truck (an explody truck). It's tough. It's reliable. Its guns range is excellent. And you are correct, you cannot run away. Commit carefully. If you kite, something behind you gets to eat 4x16" shells in its nose. It isn't an easy ship to play, but it is highly rewarding. And if you see an Iowa... all tier 7 ships are challenged by tier 9 ships. They are tier 9 for a reason. But if you see an Iowa, citadel it. Your issues with the FdG are the same issues I have with Bismarck and Gneisenau. I consider them both worst-of-tier. Or maybe least-satisfying-of-tier. Pensacola... I like it. It's hard, and I am not good in general, and less so with cruisers, but what a hoot. If you get caught in the open, shame on you. Hide, use terrain, then punish. I don't have many Krakens, but I did get one in the Pensacola. It's an ambush predator. And it loooooves to eat DDs. I have never played the Musashi, but I am surprised it is on the list. It hits like a truck. A large angry truck. Noted. Richelieu?? WHAT?? It's my go-to money printer! I start almost every gaming session with it. Get Expert Loader on it and switch to HE when you need to. Yes, HE sucks, but you gotta do what to gotta do. This is a fun ship and I never feel powerless in it. I don't have the Izumo, but I have researched it. It is too ugly to spend credits on. I find our differences of opinion entertaining. When (if) I become a better player perhaps we'll agree more. My expectations are likely a LOT lower, lol.

Exactly - Colorado MUST be played in constant movement (exactly like New Mexico), she still is very nice. FdG for me was superior compared to Bismarck (but honestly, I bought her right after the accuracy buff, so I don't know her before - but I know Bismarck and I hated this level of dispersion xD). Musashi is also very decent, but as I don't have the whole line, I play her like my American BBs - going straight to the middle range and treating her like a more fatty version of the NC. And that seems to work for me fine. Izumo is already the legend, but I don't know if ypou can remember the old - about 2015-2016 Karlsruhe. At this time it was up-tiered to Fusos, New Mexicos, Clevelands, etc, and had something like 10.5km shooting range. I was barely able to do some 10k dmg in each game, so much pain. And Pensacola... hmm, I played her when she was still on t7 (it was my very first line anyway), and I must say that she was the one ship where my gameplay understanding "clicked" - I finally got it that broadside = delete, I learned the map awareness, what is kiting etc. When I discovered New Orleans I performed already much much better, based on what I learned on Pensa.

Everyone has a bit different "feeling" of particular ships - for example, for me New Mexico is so good despite current power creep and her sigma, I have like 1k battles on her, with 70% wr. Somehow in my hands she is a monster, the same was with FdG, Vaquelin, Massachussets and Des Moines. Once in a very tough game after I died I was watching one of our teammates who played Izumo and I was really shocked. He moved and used angles sooo good, actually he carried the game for the team. Never saw such well performing Izumo. So maybe everyone needs to find "their" ships ;)

Pensacola made me laugh, but I must respectfully disagree. While I HAAAAATED the Pensacola at Tier 7, at Tier 6, it is quite a comfortable ship. 10x203s gives it such a devastating alpha strike for T6. Everything must respect its firepower.

I was so surprised moving to it from the Omaha and finding it seriously damaged BBs, and not through HE spam. It's so weird having this and the Dallas on the same Tier, where the Dallas has these tiny guns. The Pensacola is still the ship I have the most fun in, along with the PEF (which I got as a joke because my brother had gotten the Graf Spee, only to find out it's actually accurate, pretty quick and tanky, with decent secondaries, especially compared to the New Mexico which was my idea of "T6 BB").

Yeah, she hits, but with 11" guns... she doesn't do much damage at long range. She's a great brawler. Gneisenau suffers mainly because she has only SIX guns with hilariously ridiculous dispersion. Get in closer than 12 km and it doesn't matter as much, but it's still hilarious to see one shell miss the bow and another shell miss the stern, fired from the same turret.

Obviously you are joking. The accuracy of the Scharnhorst is... questionable at best. Sigma doesn't mean much in the long run. That accounts only for how much vertical deviation there is in the shells per turret. The horizontal spread is horrid with the ship. It's less of an issue due to the Scharn having only a 20 second reload, rather powerful secondaries, torpedoes and a damn durable hull, but to say that the Scharny is *accurate* with her guns is something worth giggling at. The Nagato is faaar more accurate.

@@thej3389 Its alot more comfortable at T6 now, but yea you had to have your head on a serious swivel when it was at T7. I mean you still do as with any cruiser, but it seems to have a bit more forgiveness now at T6. Conversely, Cleveland which it replaced at T6 now is absolutely horrific at T8. I did a few matches and that's all I could stomach. It was an absolute blast at its old T6.

9. Colorado - don't compare the pre-buff Colorado to the "got 500 buffs in the last 5 patches" what we have now. Colorados among the strongest t7 BBs out there right now. Enemie's too fast? Who cares, just kill them 8. FDG - again, don't compare what it was to what it is now. Use 406s and you're literally a tankier version of a Scharnhorst. Accuracy? Put on the dispersion mod instead of secondary mod, surprise surprise problem solved 6. Pepsi - literally stop broadsiding everything. Pepsis AP is so strong she wrecks everything she comes across 5. Musashi - yes, it's just a worse clone of the Yamato. Yes, it's supposed to have no AA. It's still one of the strongest t9 ships in the game. Just because you'd be better off playing Yamato instead of Musashi practically every time doesn't mean Musashi's weak 3. DoY - a superior version of KGV if you have a clue how to use RN AP. Won't work if you have no clue and thus just spam HE 2. Izumo - she was ALWAYS strong. Idiots being unable to figure out how to stop broadsiding isn't a problem with the ship. Every single buff she got was unnecessary and just made her even stronger - and yet people still fail to have the slightest clue how she works... And HE spammed on the deck? Yeah, that 57mm is sooooo vulnerable

I really wish that Roma would get her historical semi-AP shells instead of the worthless HE. For those who don't know, the Italian Navy didn't issue any HE shells for their battleships' main guns. They had an AP shell for use against enemy battleships, and a semi-AP for use against enemy cruisers.

Neat fact about the Colorado. She was badly damaged at Pearl Harbor. But fully repaired and sent out. She was part of the bombardment group during the landings in the Philippines. When the Japanese tried to break though to the beach head. She steamed to engage the southern Japanese force and did very well for herself. Yes she is slow, but also very tough.

The T7 Pensacola (pre cruiser split) was the quickest grind I have had to date, prob because I knew what I was in for, and when I got nuked just shrugged it off. For whatever reason, I just really "got" that ship. That AP was pretty magical. Just fire at range, milk the concealment and don't fire without cover or a plan to evade (and getting faster rudder shift helped - kite your ass off). The nerfed turret rotation on the T6 version just makes me sad when I play it now.

Same. I hesitated getting Pensacola for a while because I kept hearing how terrible it was, and only bit the bullet so I could get more ships when the line split was announced (and get past it before the split). For not even being a cruiser main yet, I loved Pensacola as well, both with the guns and tankiness if you could take advantage of cover, and once I got the upgraded hull and guns I was really comfortable. My biggest complaint with the t6 version is the turret rotation, which was painful at stock t7 when you could outturn your guns and is now even worse and you don’t have an gun upgrade to fix it.

Huh- ran into you in randoms a few days ago. Had no idea you youtubed. I was the Colorado you declared must be defended at all costs. You were in Duke of York. Was a great game, nice playing with you. I'll edit my thoughts of the video onto this comment once I've watched. ---Edit starts here-- Colorado- Funny enough my meeting with you was in this ship. I agree the speed is a massive issue it has, but the ship is a gun platform. Those guns are the most accurate T7 BB guns by a fair margin, their pen is great, and they hit really hard. They've even got decent shell arcs that can lob over islands. What you want to do in CO is find a central location where you can fire on enemies on either cap if you need to- committing to a flank with that kind of speed is often suicide or an exercise in futility. Really, the ship is bad, but the guns make up for it, and I've been absolutely loving the ship so far. I've been averaging 97k damage and 1.8 kills per match in it so far, which is far and away my best performing ship in the game. Duke of York- Hey, that'sa me! (Don't own this ship, never played it, so obv I don't have commentary, but this is the match I was talking about.) Izumo - They buffed the deck armor, so now only BB HE can really pen the center section. So that's good, I guess. Otherwise, yeah, it's firebait. Azuma- "...you don't get a catapult plane..." Then what's that on the Y key? =P So of these, turns out Colorado is the only one I've actually played, so my opinion's kinda moot. Though I think calling Musashi bad, even given the current sky cancer meta, is a mistake. Those 46cm cannons are absolutely devastating even when uptiered. Sure, it's a worse Yamato. But that doesn't make it "top 10 worst ships" level. Then again, maybe that's just me as a T8 Max BB main having only gotten obliterated by Musashis.

I do like a few of these but I understand why others wouldn't. The thing I like about the Yuke of Dork is it's a BB that is a damn good fire starter, sling HE and you can absolutely NUKE just about any cruisers or destroyers, and give any BB's a good burn while you switch to AP. The Colorado is a pain. The Reichelieu is actually one of my favorite ships - amazing secondaries make it similar to the Bismarck/Tirpitz where you essentially trade good side armor for all your guns pointing forward. I remember having ONE good lucky match (during closed beta test) where 2 salvos and I annihilated an Iowa. Think a couple dishonorable mentions should go out to the Katori and Yubari.

The one I will disagree on is Pensacola (at least the t7 version, not the biggest fan of the t6 one after the change) - it was more or less a mini DM at t7. Yes you were pretty fragile if you got stuck in a bad position, but if you got into a defensible position you could be a pain to the enemy and make them either have to get you out or just let you farm them.

Salt Efan from playing Hatsu (but not being a dd player at all), I can agree it feels like a struggle. Pensacola is still strong for her tier (one of only two 203mm cruisers at t6), but my opinion is somewhat clouded by having played her at t7 and feeling how comfortable she could be then. One of my biggest complaints of the t6 version is that you can so easily outturn your guns, and Pensacola needs to be able to dodge around stuff she can’t tank or bounce. The upgrade at t7 could basically keep up with you, the nerfed traverse at t6 and the loss of the upgraded guns is more painful compared to before the split.

To be honest, I prefer premiums that aren't better than the tech line equivalent. Why? It keeps the P2W element out of the game. I know it isn't true for most of the game anyway, but I can wish that all the premiums are no better than the tech line version. They don't have to be copy paste, but not better. (also, I loved the Pepsi cause the AP was almost OP at teir 6.)

I absolutely love the Pensacola (and it has nothing to do with leaving 20 mins from it) the cruiser is just amazing. Massive guns great reload time and accurate as hell it was honestly a huge shock to me as I avoided the thing like the plague (back when Cleveland was tier 6) and was just going to play Cleveland and skip it after the switch. Finally months ago I was bored and decided why not... This ship smacks just about anything you could ever come across and does so accurately at range, with a great arch. The amount of times I've chucked AP at a battleship and hit back to back 7k-8k's is insane they have "nope"ed around and left so many times. If you angle well the armor isn't a huge deal I find my self consistently deleting cruisers in a single shot. I mean for real ... Delete 2 cruisers in a match than wreck a battleship to go full broad side and take AP and folks lose their minds in a game where you do a good 70k-80k that is a good game. I delete cruisers probably 5 times if not more for every 1 time I get deleted from a battleship... I see absolutely nothing wrong with that seriously it's like nothing to do 1.5-2x as much damage per game as you have health that is good for any ship and I consistently do that. Folks complain about it online but in game folks genuinely seem to love this ship.

Musashi's quite OP in fact, many on the list are challenging, less versatile yet quite strong if played right. I even got into top 100 for my Izumo grind, *before* the buffs hit, earning plenty of Dreadnought /Fireproof medals while citadeling stuff with its meaty RNG guns (close to Yamato pen). Things like Pepsicola can also be quite a monster in Scenario mode. Colorado however, that speed's no fun at all, not recommended even for PVE.

I love the Colorado. You can punish anything you see. Everything can catch you. Let it try. A pack of ships can drag you down, like lions drag down a wildebeest... but they'll pay dearly. And while they are doing that, they aren't punishing your DDs and CAs.

I have or have play all of these ships and I agree with you. (I write what I think of them as you say the name.) 10: She can't be played like a dd. Play her like a cruiser. 9: Slow POS, you really have to know what you're doing to get where you are going. 8: Must show the whole side to do anything. Paddlin' anyone? 7: AP that overpens everything that isn't a BB-belt. Use HE on everything that isn't a BB. 6: "How much damage can I do before I die?" 5: No AA, bad 2ndarys, guns that troll you, show broadside? DIE!!! (AA is 40% of the Yamato.) 4: "Bare-assed Ricky", guns that can't pen bowtanking high tier cruisers. Sit still and spam HE. No fun to play. (Same for the Jean Bart) 3: 30s reload on a T7 14'' gun!? What were they thinking!? KGV is better in every way. (DoY has hydro, that's all.) 2: Haven't played her since I grinded for the Yama, will never play her again. No stealth, wierd turrets and takes alot of damage if broadside. A bit slow. 1: The flimsy tinderbox. I took a HE-salvo from an Ibuki in mine, lost 10k. No torps, weak AP and not enough DPM to be a HE-spammer. There are not a single ship on this list that I can say I like. Roma and "The Terrible" can be fun if you are lucky with the MM.

26:33 you can see another big problem with Azuma: IT'S HUUUGE That's a Yamato and Azuma is as large as it (much larger than some BBs, specially US ones like Massachusetts) with Light Cruiser amor (25mm EVERYWHERE) and a massive citadel that rival even Neptune for the squishest T9 cruiser (Ibuki have better armor what is just absurd). The guns are not that good either, sure they have "good" HE but it's only 1.6k per pen when ships like Moines do around 800 with 4 times the reload and much better accuracy. Maybe if the accuracy was actually good like in the testing she could be a nice HE spammer but her accuracy leaves too much to be desire specially when looking at it's flaws. The guns are supposed to be the good part but you end up landing salvos with 2/3 hits out of the 9 shells too often. Sure sometimes you get amazing dispersion and you land 8 shells for 11k damage but it's almost as rare as a tight salvo from a GK at max range. It's not the worst ship ever, I play her a lot just trying to improve with her and after 200+games im still at best 50 NA players with her but she lacks A LOT in almost every aspect, it's just a disappointment and really hope WG bufs her. Overall decent review. Only criticism, if I took a shot of vodka every time you said “this is your opinion only” I would have polished off a 1.5 liter of vodka before then end of the video. I kind of figured it was your opinion as it was you talking. I completely agree with you number 1 being Azuma. Decent guns and that is about it. Even at range it gets easily punished. A recent battle an Enterprise got 4 AP bomb citadels in one volley. (This is not a CV dig, this is an Azuma having flash paper for deck armor) Next game a Yamato at 26km dev strikes me. Granted pretty lucky shot, but they happen with great frequency when operating the Azuma. I feel the Yoshino will not fair any better if it goes live in its current state with 27mm armor. Since it is a T10, 27mm is as inadequate as a T9 with 25mm. I think that if they set the Azuma to 27mm it would be a very fun and playable ship. Not OP mind you, just playable. In the same light I hope they increase the Yoshino to 29mm, or at least test it with that.

Yoshino doesn't have 27mm armour, it just changes the central side plating and deck to 30mm. The bow plating and deck are still 25mm.

The IZUMO, the New Orleans, the FDG were all ships I cursed like hell at first. I never passed over ships and fought through them, and by the time I was ready for the next ship every one of those I found I came to really love. You absolutely had to know its capabilities and yeah, having good support makes a world of difference, but you can say that with any ship really. Sometimes you just have to have restraint from firing if you're concealed until you know you have an out to escape if needed, or that target is ripe to be pained. The FDG I gave up on when the HE spamming Brit BBs and CAs arrived. Can't brawl if you get tapped and lit up every 10 seconds, and I swear they made the secondaries less effective. German BBs seem pointless at this stage of the game.

Colorado is a beast. T7 MM is the best to start. The only thing bad about her is speed, so she is committed to a flank. She has good accuracy for tier, killer guns good armour, tight turning ratio. I have 64% WR in 90 games in it. Such a beast.

Pensacola and New Orleans can be infuriating if your positioning is bad, since you are rather fragile. On the flip side, if you get into a good defensible position (at least for the t7 version, not as much of a fan of the t6) you’re almost like a mini DM where you can punish the enemy and they either have to put effort into getting you out or just accept the damage.

I understand what WG was going for with Izumo. Of the Yamato "prototype" designs, it's definitely the most unique. There's one design that is basically every other tier 9 battleship layout (3 turrets, 3 guns each, two fore, one aft of the superstructure.) But they chose to go with the "unique" one that mirrored the pyramid gun scheme of Takao and Myoko. I'm kinda curious, if it had been built, would it be as bad as it is in WoWS?

Izumo guns were allways acurate the thing is back when you 1st grinded her ships like iowa and co still had a citadell to hit something that is absent to most bbs thease days..... the only thing really bad with her is her handling and as you noticed the 3rd turet placement. HE spam was a problem but i think they buffed her armor i think...

I was thinking they should make the new US BB Split at T7. Stick the Colorado onto the new line, and implement the South Dakota class, on the Monty line. That way the ship fits in better with the line, so the speed makes some sense.

You are just so wrong on Musashi. It is in some ways the best ship to play for a single reason: it has a very good economy, when all Tier 10s except Stalingrad are terrible, and plays almost as well as any Tier 10 - and far better than any Tier 9, including Missouri, whether you take into account AA or not. Just look at numbers and stats. In my case, I just checked, during the CV new meta, last 21 days I probably played more Musashi than anyone in EU server, 163 battles, 56.44% WR, 105k average damage. Missouri has nominally better economy but in fact your WR will be lower, and damage will be lower and despite radar and better AA, even in this meta, does not come close to what Musashi can do. In fact I think you got it totally wrong: having a tier 10 ability ship at tier 9 means you are OP. The opposite applies for the Jean Bart, where you have tier 8 penetration and overmatch guns in tier 9 environment. Yet you think the Bart is good but dislike the Musashi. How wrong can you be...

The Colorado is a niche ship. In general, it is every bit as bad as you describe it, and the only reason I ground through the Colorado is that I had already ground Caernarvon*, the tier VIII UK heavy tank that is a radical departure from all previous UK heavy tanks in World of Tanks, so I can take a joke and, unlike the UK tier IX heavy tank, the tier VIII US battleship is definitely a good ship. Where it does excel is the "Narai" operation. I fully accept that this is a very narrow niche, but playing the Colorado in "Narai" is an interesting challenge. At the moment, I enjoy playing the Musashi, but I only use it to blow off steam in co-op matches, so the enemy CVs treating it like an xp and credits pinata is not an issue. Playing it purely for the hopes of delivering a "Hulk smash!" moment is probably not making good use of it, but it can be fun. * In WoT, at tiers V, VI, and VII, UK heavy tanks combine the armor of a heavy tank, the gun of a medium tank and the engine of a light tank to produce vehicles that can only meet the enemy when played to their weaknesses. The Caernarvon has the armor of a medium tank, the gun of a medium tank, and the engine of a medium tank, so it is a medium tank that replaces a heavy tank in the UK tech tree. To add insult to injury, the stock tier IX Conqueror is a Caernarvon that can unlock a very good gun, once you have unlocked the suspension to carry the turret that you need to mount it. Being able to take a joke does not mean that I am not still bitter about the Caernarvon.

I feel like I gotta say this. When you see a carrier, you should probably think of another plan instead of lonewolf sneaking. I've gotten games where people are too fond of complaining about CVs being OP. Be glad that they can only do one squadron instead of 8, as well as Unicums no longer having all the power in the game where as the newer players get stomped. I think WG got a lot of things right with the rework and are continuing to tune it out to make sure it's fun and fair rather than pandering to one class (Ehm, DD mains. I know you guys want stealth firing back ya cheeky buggers along with no radar. Just... no). Also, separating into battle groups will act as a deterrent if not protection, with overlapping AA fields and elongating exposure to AA fire, chipping them down to dead. Tier 7 Carriers... If only.

Well, I have to respect your opinion but my opinion is that every ship is good because we all know we need to grind to fully understand the ship meta. Take my example I was grinding for NC and I played Colorado and believe it was good enough! I understand that with slow speed BB you don't need to rush and give support to your time and again I was grinding for Bismarck and I was playing with Gneisenau and with her, I was playing so aggressively so it depends on the meta in the end!

The Colorado is a tedious grind. Ignoring the speed, the ship is rather decent. Hard hitting guns, pretty tough armor decent secondaries/aaa. But more often than not, the battle will be all but determined by the time you actually make it to the fight. I actually didn't mind the Pepsi Can so much. Actually to be honest, I was rather fond of her though admittedly it was bit of a love hate relationship. Back when she was a tier 7, she wasn't a terrible ship but she was very unforgiving if you made mistakes. However if you played her right she could be a solid ship. I haven't really played her since she got moved to 6 but I think that's where she should have been all along and she probably fits in wonderfully now.

Colorado is somewhat better after the buffs on heal & rudder shift. I'd say Monarch is currently the worst T8 BB, especially after the change on Concealment Expert. - Short gun range with terrible dispersion - Dual purpose guns that are so-so as AA & secondaries - Almost impenetrable citadel but somewhat takes full pens a lot (there is a plan to raise her citadel) - Unreliable HE shells unlike the rest of the line (Richelieu has higher fire chance)

If you find yourself penned a lot by AP, I can reccommend angling your armour. HE pens are annoying, but that goes for all non-german/soviet BBs. British secondaries are bad at best, but the AA is quite good for her tier once you unlock the second hull. No tier 8 ship has much say if a t10 CV deicdes to kill you next. The guns are very good with a 25sec base reload and good HE pen. The british AP is very situational, but can prove very effective against cruisers in particular. Fully built for concealment, you can outspot all BBs and certain cruisers. The terrible accuracy is something you have to work around, which means getting closer by using islands. Think of yourself as a semi-cruiser. You use the shotgun to act as a close fire-support for your cruisers. Any cruiser closer than 10km is your main pray followed by BBs closer than 15km. It is not worth breaking concealment to shoot at targets further away than that. I agree that she's one of the weaker t8 BBs, but she's not too much worse than her competition.

In my mind it's pointless to complain about any ships under tier 5. Most of them are shite, most of them never get played again once you get to the tiers where you can actually do daily missions or campaign missions. Don't get me wrong there are some real gems in the lower tiers. I really had a blast with low tier German DDs for instance, but mostly low tiers are a necessary evil. Playing low tier ships is like losing your virginity as a girl, it's painful and messy but you have to get through it if you want to have fun later on down the road...

I actually like the Colorado. 8 guns isn't a very good number, but at 16 inches, they're pretty usable. Yeah it's slow, but I just play it very New Mexico-y. Get in enemy BB's face, blast them. Tier 7 and under, blast through their bow and detonate their magazines. At top tier, I'll only really worry about other Colorado's and Nagato's.

I once got into a one on one brawl with an FDG in my Bismarck. There was no way I could escape safely so I figured “screw it I’ll do some damage so my mates can finish him off” so I got into a close range slugfest with the guy. I won with about 1/3 health left, this should not happen

Funny thing is German battleships are inaccurate at range in game but Germany at the time of most of the actually existing ships in real life had access to some of the best equipment of their time. There was a reason during ww1 the allies feared the German High Seas fleet was because they had some good ships and had to keep it contained. WW2 allot of the ships they had where modern while the English Navy had more ships they where outdated many of them where and not constructed to survive threats from modern ships found during ww2.

One time playing the Jean Bart I fired at destroyer that's engine was broken, so it was barely moving, at a range of 8.5 km and all 8 of my 15 inch shells landed around the destroyer. I hate that ship.

John Shepard jean Bart will probably be removed sometime in the next few months (assuming a similar one year availability to Missouri/Musashi/Kron) if it isn’t permanent. Salem could also be removed when Yoshino comes out (so there’s only one t10 coal cruiser), but unless Yoshino isn’t coming out for a while we would have heard that Salem’s getting removed by now. Out of any of the coal ships added so far, she’s the only high tier one I could see being permanent (and of course the lower tiers will probably also be permanent or rotated out in a cycle)

The FDG was my fav ship to run (with secondary build), up until about a year and a half to two years ago. That's about when the HE spamming began and when the Worcestor was released it was pretty much over. If I didn't get 9 fires on me minimum it was unusual because hits didn't kill me, it was fires. And the worst part about it which still happens today, is I can dodge most the HE incoming, but so much as tap me and I light up. I've rained HELL in my ZAO, IBUKI, Chapayev on all sorts of ships, particularly German BBs, and am lucky if I get a fire that isn't immediately repaired, or started within 40 to 100 hits. This weekend I ran Chap for 152 hits, 2 fires. That's with capt skills and flags. lol Game hates me.

My main issue with it was it’s turret traverse speed but other than that I found it enjoyable especially when cruisers forgot about the AP on this thing. Now the Omaha, oh god the Omaha, if the Pensacola is citadel city then the Omaha is the citadel nation, hated that ship.

Disagree on Colorado. That ship gave me almost all the first blood awards I’ve ever gotten lol. I actually prefer being up tiered in this ship. In a t9 game everything is spotted pretty fast and you can figure out where to go to have the most targets. She has decent enough AA to get by and the guns are big enough and accurate enough to punish anything she comes across. I’ve detonated a Musashi through the cheek in my Lolorado. That was some salty chat afterwards lol.

I loved the Izumo. Bow tank for years. Great accuarcy. Just avoid getting HE spammed. Also in your game you are pushing close to enemies. YOu play the Izumo at range. Its best kiting away with the turrets facing backwards. YOu can use all guns and take 0 damage.

Skipping over the Izumo to go straight to Yamato is a bad idea imo. Izumo teaches you how to become a better Yamato captain by learning (in the Japanese BB tree) about angling and bow tanking almost exclusively. It also teaches you how vulnerable Yamato's (and Izumo') cheeks are the getting cits and how weak both ships are when broadside. Inexperienced Yamato players without Izumo grinding often get drunk on the fact that they are the rolling 18 inch guns and they are massive (ironically, Izumo actually has a larger hull than Yamato)... so they YOLO and act like nothing can hurt them the first few matches and learn hard and fast that the Yamato is best when it's played like the Izumo: bow on... pick your fights and don't knife fight anything unless they're sprinting at you. Almost any tier 8+ BB can drop a Yamato to her knees if the captain is stupid enough to show broadside (which inexperienced Yamato captains do because REAR 18 guns yo!).

Pensacola could be so easily fixed but WG hates the USN ships. All it needs is faster turret traverse, and a couple seconds knocked off it's reload and it would be fine. Perhaps some extra side plate so it could kite. Island hugging is so passive and dull as a play style and I hate it like poison but the USN ships almost demand it to be effective.

Ibuki's fine. Always has been fine but nowadays she's better than ever with her ludicrously good accuracy. Sit at the edge of your range and shower BBs with HE, swap to AP for broadside cruisers - she's golden.

Should read a book on battleship tactics I reckon. Broadsides are not how ship vs ship battles are fought. Rapid fire mode where 1 round leaves a gun every 5 or so seconds and maintains constant fire on the target. A broadside is like a boxer dropping his guard waiting then punching again. Rapid fire mode is a constant series of punches that never end. Also in rapid fire mode constant range adjustment is able to be made rather than broadside mode where the ship moves under the rounds in flight. Also crossing the T: Seldom in real life did ships fire forward and most were actually unable to. If you're crossing your enemies T then you are in a position where you can bring all your guns to bear on your enemy who only has his forward turrets to reply with. This enables your guns to fire down the length of the enemy ship vastly increasing the liklihood of a hit - rather than over a relatively narrow beam of say 30m or 100ft. I don't know if you can model rapid fire mode in this but you can in at least one game I played.

In WOW Legends the Colorado is tier 6 and Iowa is the next ship at tier 7. I got so use to putting the Colorado in full speed so hopefully I get to the battle before it's over, when I unlocked the Iowa I did the same, ended up running so far ahead cose now I am fast finally, enemy team loved it though Yolo Iowa rushing true the middle of the map getting destroyed in seconds by concentrated fire LOL.

T9 and 10 USN BB probably never went into anyone list but me. Iowa, no pen when needed, long and hard to turn. Squishy as well. Montana, i thought it would be better but no. She has the same dispersion as GK if not worse. Still the same AP pen as Iowa. And T10 CV still could harrass her to death when solitary. Her legendary upgrade is wonderful however. Now im using Secondaries build Montana, idk, secondaries are useful at close quarter. If the list went to lower tier, Emerald and Kolberg i want to add to the list.

I have the Battle cruiser Richelieu, but then I also have Strasbourg and Dunkurque. Duke of York is very good and I love my Roma. And I have the California instead of Colorado. I am very happy with these ships. They have their faults, but I am used on the Marine Nationale, ships using two guns instead of three or four. What I avoid on the american side is the crappy South Carolina and the Omaha for example. I would take Pensacola any day.
