It is simply not doing anything. In Genswap I select an object and it does get deleted but it doesn't get replaced regardless of what I enter in the text box.

Agreed. GenSwap is pretty useless from what I can tell. I tried 30-40 prompts on various photos last night and GenSwap only came close to what I was asking one time. Every other time, it completely ignored my prompt. I couldn't even get it to add a simple pair of sunglasses to a portrait with a prompt of "sunglasses". I've been watching several videos on GenSwap to see if I wasn't writing the prompts correctly, but I'm just not seeing why it's not working. I'm guessing that Luminar's AI just needs A LOT more training before it becomes even mildly useful. GenErase works great for me, but GenSwap is atrocious right now.

Hello! If you're getting "nothing" in the result, please check your masked area. Ensure it's large enough for the tool to work its magic and match the size accurately. I'm sorry to hear that! You can try adjusting your prompt or adding the adjective "photorealistic" to it. It may take more than 1 try to get the desired result.

Tried that and spent most of the weekend on it with minimal success and doesn't help that your affiliates seem to be struggling as well@@LuminarGlobal

GenErase really impressed me, but GenSwap seems totally broken. So far, GenSwap has only worked once for me (I added a swan to a photo as per a luminar tutorial) but for anything else it just didn't do a thing. No error messages....just nothing. Photoshop is way ahead in this respect.

I'm so sorry to hear that! In this case, try to enlarge your mask, because AI may need more space to generate what you had in your prompt, and it just doesn't fit into your mask.

OK - But why isn't Luminar Neo telling me it needs more space? It just fails to do anything and doesn't give me any feedback.

It's unlikely to catch up with genfill. The hardware resources and training dataset Adobe has had is no match for a small company like Skylum. The best thing they could do is make it run locally. A lot of folk have difficulty with using Stable Diffusion because of it's complexity. If they'd manage to package the model in a user friendly way (which the Luminar interface really is) that would be a game-changer. It's what Topaz is doing for AI noise removal and sharpening and they're doing it pretty well and giving Adobe a good run for their money.

@@LuminarGlobal My main concern about GenSwap is that it seems to be pretty much broken. I enter my desired prompts and click SWAP...watch the pretty starfield animations for 30 seconds and then see that nothing has changed. GenSwap seems fundamentally unusuable and I cannot see how it got through beta testing.

Hello! It's easy - you just write "gray (and the name of the object you want to be gray)" in the prompt box. Don't forget to mask the object completely.
