It's very similar to gaining aid through kindness in other fairytales. Baba Yaga comes to mind. Besides, those mice save her. By being loving and kind she is helped. Only after a dress being made with love being torn apart summons the fairy godmother. In the end, it is the mice, birds, and dog who get her the key.

About Hans’ smile, supercarlinbros has a theory that he represents the mirror from the snow queen. He “reflects” people’s emotions and feelings, including Anna’s awkwardness in the boat scene. His smile came from mirroring Anna. It’s a pretty great theory and I stand by it

When I saw the De La Cruz theory in the thumbnail, it actually made sense to me. No, not the bs example the redditor gave in the video, but for another reason. Ernesto stole Hector’s songs, and needed them. They were essential to his fame. Because of this, once Hector’s book of songs ran out, this probably drove De La Cruz insane. He would have definitely tried to write new songs, but couldn’t get them to a level of popularity near songs like Remember Me. From here, he could have committed suicide onstage to put him out of his misery, and so that his memory as a great singer is even more positive than ever before.

Plus, she was manipulated by Lady Tremaine. The reason why she appeared “weak” was because she was kinda codependent to Lady Tremaine- a classic trademark of a manipulative relationship. She felt worthless, and since we see the story from Cinderella’s perspective that’s why she appeared this way. Say what you want about her, we see similar traits in Rapunzel from Tangled- Mother Gothel manipulated her into thinking that she couldn’t do anything for herself. She twisted her into thinking that she needed her and tried to make her codependent- just not as successfully as Lady Tremaine.

I kinda had the tiny horrible theory that Ernesto staged his death but it had WAY WAY different evidence. I just kinda figured, he only had so many songs to work with if all of his music was stolen, right? He probably realised if he suddenly stopped “coming out” with new songs, either someone would catch on or everyone would be bored of him and the same songs over and over. So he just. “Ok I’ll stage my death and then they can’t ask me to write more songs after I run out of what I’ve got here” Which, is probably just as stupid, but I mean?? Makes at least a little more sense than... whatever that was..?

Cinderella is my favorite too, for so many reasons. She wasn’t seeking a man, or waiting for one to come find her. She’s kind, which in my opinion is a strength that’s not praised enough in Hollywood. I suggest checking out a video called “stop blaming the victim”, it articulated a description of her so well.

Cinderella takes care of the house because she takes pride in her (and her fathers’) home. It was hers before the stepmother and sisters came along. She cares about it and all the animals in it (except for that evil cat) What she actually hates is being treated like a second rate citizen by her step-family and the burden of the full weight of the household chores. Anyone who thinks she’s evil has never read the source material or watched any of the many films 😅

As somebody who's read the frozen book I know for a fact Hans was scheming this years and years before Elsas coronation, his older brother told him about the kingdom or Arendelle and how Elsas coronation was soon. That theory with Hans being manipulated by the trolls is actually a theory from film theory which I highly advise you watch they make some really great points! Also the line where Gaston says, "I use antlers in all of my decorating" doesn't make sense with Bambi's mom because female deer do not have antlers.

I had heard a theory that Amos Slade might be the man that killed Bambi's mother. What do you think of that? It's probably slightly more plausible than Gaston having done it, given that Bambi's species was changed from the book to one native to the US, which implies that the film is set there, so that would rule out the Gaston theory. The Fox and the Hound does also appear to take place in the US, which at least makes it possible that Amos might be the culprit, although I don't know how much evidence there is for it otherwise

Yes I am not the only one who thought of the species thing! I prefer the fox and the hound theory. It makes a lot more sense to me both placement and time wise. Also Amos fits the theme of human negligence being the real criminal a lot better than pure Gaston villainy. At least a lot more sense than a pre-revolution french peasant man traveling to North America to kill a deer rather than go to Africa or Asia where he could catch something that fit his ego like a lion or tiger.

For the Hans theory: What if he was once cursed? Like, he has so many brothers I doubt his mother birthed ALL of them without getting ill one day from the amount of stress and pressure she put on herself carrying so many heirs. So what if Hans's brothers mother died and his father remarried to a witch - a good witch - but then broke her heart after Hans was born. I'm not too sure on what Hans's father might have done but whatever he could have done caused her heart to become dark with broken love and cursed the child they had by making it so that when he fell in love his heart would become as dark and cruel as Hans's father. Which would mean that when he met Anna he fell in love - hence the smile when he was in the water - but then when they were bonding so much the curse kicked in and went right into the roots of how he is the 16th? in line for the throne and had been degraded by his brothers because he is only their half brother and turned it into something dark and twisted. Again, this is just a random idea that makes sense to me for the legit smile he had.

The "Hans was bewitched by the trolls" thing is a shipper theory if I've ever heard one. Probably people who wanted Anna with him so they've convinced themselves the trolls brainwashed Hans into being evil so Kristoff could have Anna. It's basically the Frozen version of Harry and Hermione shippers saying Ginny slipped Harry love potions.
