Well said. ANYONE that can't laugh at themselves is too serious. This is why kings appointed court jesters to lampoon everyone that came into the castle. (At least WISE kings did...) The Sioux people employed a similar tactic, the Heyoka, into their societies. The sacred clown is a classic trope that spans across continents and millenia and if you ask me we would have NEVER reached this level of world civilization without it.
