Very moving tribute for the late Sean Wainui, respect to Ireland and the Maori All Blacks
@vicentesalasii1480 Жыл бұрын
The mix of emotions here is so overwhelming. From the beautiful tribute to the late Sean Wainui, from both teams, to the rousing Haka which followed. The surreal nature of the moment has me envisioning ancient Maori warriors preparing for battle against ancient Celtic warriors, but both sides honour a fallen warrior.

So moving. The Haka is so respectful. I wish more people could understand it. Those gorgeous little children have two rugby teams behind them 😍 it’s when the all blacks just stand still and let the children pick up his jersey for me. What an amazing team of men ❤

I love the Polynesian ideal that family isn’t just blood it’s the people you serve or work closely with. That team was his family and Sean was their brother. He’ll be waiting in Rarohenga for them to join him in peace.

My grandad told me the same thing. This is so respectful and I wish people could understand it more thoroughly. What a beautiful thing to do to pay respect to their opponents team member before playing sport together. It may look threatening, but it’s not and the sooner people recognise that the better. Those lovely men stayed still until his gorgeous kids were off the pitch and watched them go. It’s so moving. What an absolutely amazing tribute to their opposite team. Gentlemen, playing a hooligans sport ❤️ i can’t see a single hooligan in this video ❤

I don't even watch football(soccer in US) and still this makes me cry. Mostly because I seen his two young children walking to the center of the field. His little boy is only like 3 years old which is my sons age. And his daughter is 8 or 9 which is my niece's age. I couldn't image the pain these two children are feeling right now.

I do not know a single person here in Ireland who isn't stirred deep in their soul by the Haka. There is a special energy in the air when Ireland play the All Blacks. We are kindred spirits, warriors of yesterday doing battle with honour and respect in today's modern world. Our tribes are ancient and our warriors are not forgotten. There is something that links us in respect and admiration. It feels different, it feels ancient and it feels epic. Rest in Peace Sean Wainui and now Connor

A very poor turn out. These guys deserved better. They showed the commitment and passion of the past. Is it the price of seats these days, Covid fears or lack of interest in rugby. ?

Prices too high for the average person Shouldn’t be like this but unfortunately we are in diff times Barely have enough for Rent/Food and GAS let alone any luxuries or pleasure outings….. Yes people still go particularly to big FINALS but nothing like the old days…..PARKS were packed to the BRIM!!….
