Omar Infante must hate the Giants. Was a Brave in 2010 and eliminated. Was a Tiger in 2012, and about 2 innings away from being swept, he has his hand broken by a pitch. Then in 2014, he slips on the grass to eventually allow the series winning run to reach base. At least he got a ring the next year.
@alexbeardsley75110 ай бұрын
baseball can be cruel like that. That ring made up for it but the Giants are not on Omar's Christmas list.

Michael Morse’s performance is always completely overshadowed in this game (for obvious Madbum reasons) but that dude represented everything it meant to be a Giant, just a gritty player who stepped up when it mattered most

Casey DeMarco It’s insane to think that he played a lot of the postseason with a strained oblique too!! It’s the definition of “if I can be there, I can play. I don’t care if I’m injured, I’m gonna play”

Still unbelievable this was five years ago. I still get chills watching this game. The moment Mad Bum came out of the bullpen, iconic. The ending was gut wrenching as I thought momentum was going to shift for KC. But Mad Bum just remained collective. Such a great series.

Game 1: Perez scores the only run in Madbum's World Series career. Game 7: Madbum gets his revenge on Perez by making him the final out (it should have been Gordon).

I had a sub for my Geometry class on this day and we were talking about game 7 and we were arguing cuz I thought Bum would definitely pitch at some point in this game and he said there is no way Bum would come in with 2 days rest. I wish I could have seen him the next day ! 😂

I don’t think I’ll ever watch as much baseball as I did over those five plus years ever again. Not because I don’t want to. Because I don’t think the game will ever be the same. The SF Giants dynasty and the 2014 post season revealed something in Major League Baseball that will change the game moving forward.

I remember watching this game with my neighbor and we talked about how many innings madbum would pitch. I said 2 😂 and inning after inning I looked to him and said he can give one more. Then I said it over and over until Sandoval caught the last out. Thank you madbum Edit: Just want to add Affeldt doesn’t get enough credit for his work this game. Also the greatest double play turned in a WS ever!!!!

I was an A’s fan in my childhood. And these Giants man… I couldn’t STAND THEM. They always found a way to win in the postseason. This game in particular, I couldn’t have rooted for the Royals more. And my A’s were always getting rid of their stars. Cespedes, Donaldson, Reddick, Muncy, Gray, and now recently with Olson and Chapman. All I saw over the years was complete disloyalty from the A’s to its fans and players. And now they’re moving away. So… I said fuck it, I’m done. The A’s will never do it for the fans. All John Fisher cares about is money. I am now a Giants fan as of around the end of May. And ya know what? I love it. This team actually gives a fuck. They have the will to win. It’s been so fun watching the Giants fight back in these games as of late (June-July 2023). Now I feel like I can confidently root for a team that WANTS to win. And now, I’m looking back at these World Series wins that I despised watching as a kid. I don’t have that feeling of “I witnessed my team win this championship” like older Giants fans do, but I now enjoy watching these old postseason wins. In conclusion… Go Giants!

Pablo gets hit by a pitch that leads to the first run, then he legs out an infield single that he probably gets thrown out on if Infante doesn't slip and that led to the winning run. Baseball gods at work right there 😁😁

Are you going to do the 2016 wildcard game as well? I also have a suggestion, you should do the NL West clinching game in 2010.

My goodness... Madbums performance still gives me chills. How this never went down as one of the greatest professional sports performances is beyond me. This is like Tiger Woods historic and yet nobody outside of baseball fans would recognize Bum in the streets 😂
@ultraness4 жыл бұрын
I think the performance is recognized by all sports fans who know anything about baseball. Each postseason since 2014, the announcers compare how each team's ace has done relative to Bumgarner (and every year since, the other pitchers have fallen short without exception).
