I love it. First thing he says. "Wow" I also love that he gives Posey a ton of credit for the game he called and caught. People sometimes forget it takes a catcher to even pitch. And every single perfect game, every single time a pitcher gets 27 BIG LEAGUE batters down without a single hit or walk given or allowed, every single time it is amazing and singularly special. It's rare and it's just a truly difficult thing to pull off. A beautiful game. A perfect game. Really no such thing as perfection. In major league baseball.... there is. But it is not something simply done. I love that.

I had the TV off this night because I needed to study. But then I saw the box score through 3 innings that Cain hadn't given up a hit. I felt it could happen right then. I wish I could have been at this game. What a performance by Cain. On the other hand, I was in the park for Cain's domination of the Rangers in Game 2 of the 2010 World Series and that is a memory for a lifetime. The look in Cain's eyes while he warmed up before the game predicted the outcome. We had seats deep along the 3rd base line not far from the foul pole (Row 21/Section 131), so we got to see Renteria's homer up close and personal. This is the only baseball game I have ever attended where the excitement in the stands made it feel most like a major college bowl game or an NCAA March Madness game.

There was a young family sitting near us at this game who weren't baseball aficionados, and were perplexed why the crowd was so excited when it was 10-0 in the 7th. I asked the dad if he knew what was happening, and then explained we might be witnessing history. Loved seeing the two very young children scream and holler with the other 40,000 after the last out.
