I know this video is about an E minor chord, but I didn't know you could play an A minor like that. Shifting the G shape up by two frets and including a D on the B string. Cool 👌🏿👌🏿👌🏿

I had to scope it out in detail, but, afaics, that would be, in technical nomenclature, Amsus4 OR add11: 5th & 4th strings are muted, thus 5xx530 or ACDE, with that C a b10th above the root in the bass, hence the D is an 11th. I'm unsure about the sus4 designation, because it's a suspension an octave up, so to speak, but add11, although technically correct, perhaps, seems a bit much for correctness; after all, people used figured bass for a couple of centuries, and expected performers to fill in the blanks. Again, afaik, one has to say add 11 because of no 7th or 9th degrees. Musical nomenclature can be very particular, sometimes, it can drive you nuts.

But that’s now a different chord, isn’t it? I agree that it’s a cool way to play around with the chord but it becomes something different - e.g Em/F in the case of adding it on the bottom string.
