@@patvidal8932 I genuinely believe that, regardless of what endeavor you look into, when people reach the top of their craft, comparisons become moot. And both of them certainly are/were at the top of their craft. SRV was one of a kind period. But so is Mayer. SRV inspired Mayer and Sean in turn was inspired by both. If anything, I'm sure that if SRV and Mayer got to jam together, you'd see nothing but mutual respect between them for each other's mastery of the instrument. I used to play. Unfortunately no time anymore so I stopped. But yes, I own a ton of strats and they're my favorite instrument ever made!

This is a work of precision art and craftmanship of peer level. The one thing I find when listening to your work is that your play is so clean. Its crystal clear. A lot of guitar play has some rough edges but this is like looking across an ocean and clearly seeing the mountains on the other side that are usually obscured. I will however open up on that in the latter part of house of the rising sun - That sort of enraged play is what I need. I wish guitarists could engage that type of rage play in a wider sense. In this world of madness 'contained' gentle play is nice enough, but I do wish for guitar to be unleashed. But that's just me. :)

Sean stunning mate, you have done it, the Shifter Video that was insane shot in black and white made it raw then you upped the ante with the voice box that just made me yell Yeahhh. I cannot get over your talent clearly the Stevie Ray influence but different, you play from your inner core with such intensity yet moments of pure innocents (like Buddy Holley) and the horn section wild and unexpected, these arrangements are off the chart.
