Who do you usually have for a physical audience? Like, winged horses & unicorns or what? Just so long as they are mythical. Vocals by a talking snake? That was so good I had to slide the timer right back & do it again. That's an impressive skill. Obviously one which requires no end of practice to be as fluid as you are. As one of the digitally stunted people of this world (short fingers mate, 'es got short finga's) it's only right, & basically a requirement of a digitally stunted person that I despise you,..,.you & your long fingers. @NopeNoWay-us2jkI've fallen off, but this used to be my specialty. In terms of practice habits to get this type of akill, what you want to do is try to create/recreate an entire composition using only your guitar in real time. The way you do this is by distilling a song down to only the essential elements. You can try to make your playing faster to throw more in, but what you are really trying to do is make sure that if there is something in the song that you feel it is imperative to hit, you structur÷ everything around making sure you hit that. As you go on, you begin to compile a list of what the song actually needs, and you make sure that, whatever flourishes you might want to throw in there, you are always meeting those essential elements that you feel constitute the essence of the song. Over time, you will find that you pretty much default into falling into sync. This approach will begin to become a fundamental element of your playing through whatever you wind up playing. Hope this helps.

And fade to black...and seemingly the song goes on forever...a perfectly composed video with no vanity, just the player and the instrument and the song itself reminding us how incredible its composer was. A magnificent performance.

Found the good balance of going real hard and playing calm especially 7:30-8:30 was real beautiful. Also was able to witness the versatility of the strat. Great playing using the strat to its full potential. Great playing man full of feel.

I just got my first guitar and I opened it today. I don't even know how to tune the thing, let alone play chords or whatever. It's a Yamaha acoustic, but the point is, if by old age I can be even 10% of this guy's skill level, I will leave this world feeling more than satisfied.

You got it friend, I'm 67 years old, self taught, my first guitar came from a department store,if you play at least 15 min a day you will see advancement in a few months, yes I started on a acoustic, and not to long after I had a microphone in the body of the guitar bagging out smoke on the water, I have had two Gibson, and three Fender guitars, then I picked up a cheep squire telecaster for 200, brand new it's been the best guitar I have ever played on, do your self a favor pick up a Squire and a tube amp. You'll be the happiest guy on the block. Trust me.

Smooth, soft and scratchy where needed. You took a piece that made music history and brought it into your world. This is what musicians do, unlike instrumentalists. It's all there; Jimi is the protagonist, I hear a bit of SRV, J. Copeland, BB King, A. King and many others. Culture leads to skill and you have learned this precious lesson. Know your triads my teacher said ;) Perfect. Bravo.

Dear Sean this is one great example when a cover exceeds the original. WELL DONE!! Lot of technique, but most important tons of feeling here.
@ugsdit5296 Жыл бұрын
no disrespect to this guy, but i gotta disagree with you. i feel like these days, people just hear big bends and think "wow thats a lot of feel", even if theres no real substance to the composition. and seriously, im not saying this is bad or anything, he plays very well and all, but im just not so amazed, and think that he lost the heart of the original song. when i hear this solo, i dont relate it to the message of the original song in any way, and thats fine, its his own thing, but i dont see how it exceeds the original in any other way than technical ability

Beautifully done, although, I must admit, your beautiful performance of this piece inadvertently shines light on just how great Jimi Hendrix was, and the idea that nobody will ever again achieve that sound, that passion, that flame atop the purple haze. He's just so...amazing, and I appreciate you for allowing me to experience one of the most beautiful covers of his greatness. Rock on, brother! \m/
