So, in other words. It goes more than far enough. It just doesn't have the battery to really go the distance till you'd see it cut out and actually be lucky enough to get it back. Range isn't really an issue here at all. Over all there is not real reason to take this drone and need to fly it a couple miles out. If you can still see this drone even half a mile away you have some serious eagle eyes. I bet someone is really going to test the range and will either run out of battery before it maxes out the range or we will finally see it just cut out and still not have the battery to return and you will have to go fetch it. Thanks for the video, Beautiful area!

If you grab it by the top and flip it over (upside down) the motors will immediately disengage.
@SeanOzz2 жыл бұрын
That’s correct. Don’t do this with a normal 3 axis gimbal drone though.
@jdeo87762 жыл бұрын
Downside to this is that if the wind gusts are strong enough to flip it over, the drone will also disengage the motors.
@jgreg952 жыл бұрын
@@jdeo8776 I’ve not heard of anyone experiencing that. I mean you have to grasp it pretty firmly, flip and hold it. I’m guessing in a gust the accelerometer is able to detect the difference. That being said overall it’s probably not the drone you’d want to risk flying in high wind gust especially if you’re going to have to travel a good distance to recover it.
@jdeo87762 жыл бұрын
@@jgreg95 it's not per say with this drone yet ... but I've heard on the forums of this happening with other DJI drones where the pilot gets too over confident and disregards wind speed and gusts and loses their drone not by a flyaway or battery issue. Remember these drones have a wind classification level that they can withstand, and we all know the level of wind can be misleading when we are at the ground zero, versus the FAA legal altitude height, and then the DJI altitude cap. There's more surface area with the prop guards, and its weight as a cinewhoop, to tip this one over in higher altitudes. As you mentioned, I'm sure there are safeguards in place by DJI for this.
@SeanOzz2 жыл бұрын
I actually turn that feature off on mine because I fly in acro or manual. And I don’t want to turn it off when it flips upside down.
