Seems like the arpeggios come from the fifth mode of the harmonic scale . The harmonic minor scale in F ,G,Ab,Bb,C,Db,E,F. If you start from the fifth note C and minus notes F and Ab you get your scale and that why it resolves so nicely to the minor chord a fifth below ie F. By the way just found your channel yesterday and think it’s really well taught. Thankyou so much for all your time and effort.

Thanks, a commenter also mentioned it coming from the Phrygian Dominant scale which is similar to what you are saying, thanks for watching!!!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I was thrilled to discover this connection a couple years ago! C7b9, Eb7b9, Gb7b9, A7b9 all function great over Dbo7, Eo7, Go7, Bbo7 (interchangeably)

Wouldn’t this arpeggio work with any of the chords that the inversions of the diminished chord connects to? I think the MangoldProject has a video on dominant b9 chords regarding that topic.

What is the fingering for this arpeggio
@insertnamehere91544 жыл бұрын
I would love to see the way his fingers flows to achieve that smoothness. I'm using jus my first 3 and I'm sure I need 20 more fingers to get it rght😅
@SeanWilsonPiano4 жыл бұрын
It depends on the start note, the fingering is different based on every key.: for C I was using 1-2-1-2-3...
