The base guy and tenor guy were classically trained but other two(including countertenor guy) were not. Actually the counter tenor guy was a chemical engineer. They were formed at an audition program which is called 'Phantom Singer'. And I strongly recommend to listen their [Bohemian Rapsody].

Thank you for your reaction! This is Forestella, a crossover group from Korea. They are the winner group in the Phantom Singer 2; a survival audition show to form a crossover quartet like il Divo from Korea. However as they have their own unique style, they won't be Korean il Divo, they will be the Forestella of the world! Forestella has sung great covers like Bohemian Rhapsody, We are the Champions, Heal the World, the Sound of Silence, My Favorite Things, Champions (mash-up of Champs league theme and Champions by Jo SuMi), Nella Fantasia, Scarborough Fair..etc etc. At the Phantom Singer All Stars they sang Time in a bottle, Je suis Malade as well. Shape of You in English, Spanish and African Zulu is fantastic indeed. You can even see them dancing singing Smooth Criminal as well! And they broke the record of their own with Bad Romance which seems toxic version of their Lazenca Save Us, winning 5 trophies for King of Kings in a row in Immortal Songs. Forestella is a quartet of Ko WooRim (classical bass, intense abyss-deep low tone), Kang HyungHo (ex-research chemist & rock vocalist with soprano falsetto voice), Cho MinGyu (classical leggiero tenor, light boyish crystal clear tone) and Bae DooHoon (musical actor, 159th King of the Masked Singers, rough-textured husky tone with R&B, Pop groove). Each has distinct tone and style of singing, different charm. But all of them are famous as practice-freaks. Ko WooRim said they met more than 300 days an year together in Phantom Singer All Stars behind interview but in a radio program the leader (Cho MinGyu) revealed it would be around 20 days they didn't meet in the year. You should put earphones on!! The first guy who is counter tenor is not professional trained and he worked in a chemical company and the bass and the tenor were professional classical trained and the last (on the right) is a musical actor. Please find more pleasures of Forestella’s.

They have a lot of very famous cover songs, but I also recommend listening to the title track and tracks on their latest album. Their title track, "Save Our Lives", is a song with a deep message. Yeah. They're brilliant aren't they! This is my favorite of all their songs. You're probably all over their backgrounds by now, but I love the fact that that utterly crystal Counter Tenor had no classical training - but was an industrial chemist! [ Have you done his Phantom of The Opera yet? ] The Bass has the 'velvetiest' 'choclateiest' and most 'Yummy'! tone that resonates straight through to the bone marrow. The lead Tenor is awesome in his expression & precision. I gather he was headhunted by an Italian Opera Company { Milan ? } and performed with them for some time before returning to South Korea. The Bari/Tenor has a contemporary pop and musical theatre background. A simply magical blend. 🤩

10:00 The counter-tenor has actually done a rendition of a song from Phantom of the Opera, twice! He used it as his audition song for the show where their group was formed and he did a rock version where he sang both parts. If you search up Kang Hyungho phantom of the opera it should show up.

The team name Forestella is a combination of English forest, meaning forest, and Italian stella, meaning star, and contains the determination to do music that is "comfortable like forest and shining like stars." Based on this idea, fans are nicknamed forest stars. It consists of three tenors and one base based on the vocal range, and can be divided into two K-pop styles and two vocal styles based on the vocal style. He puts so much effort into practice that he is called a practice bug that he shows a high level of blending and harmony despite the distinct difference in tone and vocal style of the four. Based on classical quartets, he is constantly trying to challenge and reinterpret songs of various genres and styles. In particular, he said he felt responsible for the crossover music, which contains a Korean and Asian atmosphere, and wanted to make it a signature of the team. However, he considered the musical direction during the 2021 The Forestella National Tour Concert, and later on KZbin Live, he said that Forrestella's music will be largely "rock opera." It has been said that it will present two directions: forest concept music and Stella concept music. On the stage, most of them stand in the order of Go Woo-rim, Kang Hyung-ho, Cho Min-gyu, and Bae Doo-hoon from the left. When introducing the team, it starts with the official greeting method. Only four fingers of the right hand are stretched out to sweep the chest, and after doing a motion to pick a star in the air on the right, he takes his hand back to the chest, which means "pick the star with a quadruple heart and put it in the chest." When you say "fore," sweep your chest at four, and say, "This is Stella," and take your hand to your chest. I'm surprised you haven't react to this extraordinary group again. Not only because of the high number of views of this clip, they deserve it. FORESTELLA is very versatile and KNOWN for unusual and extremely creative reinterpretations of well-known songs. Middle of last year btw. they turned "Bad Romance" completely upside down with their version, and the video has not reached almost 10 M views for no reason. Highly recommend checking out their fantastic version of MAMA (Original By EXO) from the end of the year. You seem to have missed something so far.

The countertenor is... a Rock singer, 😂 with no vocal training 😲 before he appeared on the show Phantom Singer which created this group.. Forestella. Only the Bass and Tenirc are Classically trained. Countertenor a Rock singer, and other singer is Theatrical singer. Most will suggest "Bohemian Rhapsody" which is stunning. But for me "Je suis Malade" is fire... And you will get the wall of sound you are seeking. Plus, even in French the emotion (especially Bae Doo-Hoon who was least seen on THIS performance) will leave you breathless. It reduced one of the older females watching, to tears.

Oh, if you usually do Pop music, may I suggest Chinese singer Hua Chenyu. A combination of Freddie Mercury and David Bowie. He embraces all genres from Rock/Metal, Rap, Ballads, Pop, SynthPop, Chinese Reggae, 😲 Chinese Traditional, Peking Opera, Broadway.... He also constantly changes his look... I'm disappointed to see this is the only Forestella video you reacted to. They have so many great covers. So just in case you might want to watch them again - here are a few: Bohemian Rhapsody, Despacito, Sweet Dreams, Time in a Bottle (with a great hard rock insert), Bad Romance, Smooth Criminal, Shape of You, and Thriller. The original song is in Spanish by the group Mecano. The lyrics are about a gypsy praying to the moon to obtain love. The moon agrees but with the condition that she must give up her first child. The child that is born has pale skin and gray eyes. When the husband sees the child, he believes she has been unfaithful and kills her. He then takes the baby and abandons him on the mountain. According to the legend, when the moon is full, it means the child is safe and well. However, if the child cries, the moon will wane to create a crib for him.
