Hey Brendon. It was awesome to see you in my old stomping grounds in New York at my favorite store Rock Fantasy. I am hoping I get to meet you & Anthony (from Sound Exchange) one of these days. I’m hoping to visit Steve and Rock Fantasy in the new year. As I said most likely will be after moving from Norwalk to Danbury at the end of February 2025. I hope to be in Port Jarvis for my stagehands’ union meeting in January otherwise I will have to be at the meetings after the move in February.

@@jazzpunk i was still in diapers in the late 60's. but the classic record shop was a thing until the late 80's. so i still had some fun. and i still hav e some amazing vinyl from that era. there is only one store on vancouver island that still gives me that vibe from all those years ago. but it's a closet compared to keelor's shop !!

This is like the record shop music stores like Harmony Hut I remember in the 1970s mall and Peaches and Spencer's that were packed and stuffed with all kinds of music and merch and anything you could dream of or want in your rock 'n' roll fantasy. I wish i had a Rock Fantasy where i live. We used to have Hastings and CD Warehouse. Now all we have is Walmart and Target lol. Plus all the pawn shops used to have loads of cds. Ordering online can get boring.

I've had the kind of issues Brendon described with digipaks delivered by Amazon UK. It depends how much/how often you're ordering in regard to how often you experience it. But I would estimate, for every 10 CDs that arrive in the digipak format, about 1 in 10 arrive with varying degrees of damage.

They use their heads vinyl well packaged in individual cardboard protective then larger flatpack and if with a cd invidually in another cardboard sleeve. Brendon always moans about digipacks depends on label AFM Seasons of Mist Reigning Phoenix even Nuclear Blast etc Digipacks incredible artwork you don't get with jewel cases!!!

dude the whole digipak hate is so overblown like who cares if it gets damaged or whatever so do the shitty jewel cases and they are loud, awkward to hold and open and take up more space. i really dont care about preserving media condition at all and if you actually listen to the cd its gonna get wear and tear anyway because you're constantly moving it around. just embrace it.
