Phil Mogg never seemed to get the recognition he deserved, so it's really cool to see you do that, Pete! Love to Love is not only my favorite UFO song, it's my favorite song, period. Hey Chris, not a name I would have considered for this month, her undoubted talent and legacy notwithstanding. It was hard enough to pick 31 vocalists from the music in my collection, let alone great singers from genre's I don't listen to a lot, otherwise you end up considering names like Adele, Amy Winehouse or even, dare I say it, Celine Dion, technically one of the best singers on the planet but whose style doesn't really do it for me, unless she sings in French ( her album, "D'Eux" with French writer Jean -Jacques Goldman is brilliant). I've had to be true to the theme of favourite, rather than best as the two aren't mutually exclusive.

Good morning (afternoon, evening or night), Pete. Great selection. Personal pick today? Best known as the founding member and lead singer of a British band with several solo albums in his catalogue as well who came on the music scene in the 60s and whose band has been on tour this year, Mick Jagger of The Rolling Stones. Anyone growing up in the late 60s and early 70s, had the Stones and the distinctive vocals of Mick in their ears almost non-stop if there were any nearby radios turned on. Lots of discussion about his vocals on the Stones latest album - Hackney Diamonds - but the three albums will be coming from the earlier period and are Let It Bleed, Sticky Fingers and It's Only Rock And Roll, But I Like It. Favorite tracks are tough and skipping over the likely Sympathy For The Devil to the Let It Bleed deep track, Monkey Man. Jagger all over the place vocally. Again, sixty years on, something must be going right. Thanks as always, Pete. Looking forward to whatever comes next

Day 25 A singer/songwriter who recorded some wonderful folk rock albums, his best being in the early 70's. It's Cat Stevens, whose voice adapted so well to suit the given song. This was evident for me on how he sang "where do the children play?" on the song of the same title, an edginess and a passion that was required to ask that important question. Albums....... Teaser and the Firecat (favourite). Tea for the Tillerman Catch Bull at Four Song is one rarely mentioned from Buddha and the Chocolate Box, it's Sun/C79 again a song which required powerful vocal work and it's definitely a favourite song of mine. Day 7. Patsy Cline - Showcase, Patsy Cline, Sentimentally Yours - song: Crazy One of the most influential vocalists in country music of all time. Cline's career was cut short when an airplane carrying her, and other country music stars crashed in 1963. Her recorded output is limited to three records, but what performances are on those discs. Hi everyone, it's pick #25 today and I've deliberately chose my main pick and today's HM as a pair, because there are several notable parallels to their careers: both were the lead singer for bands with long, multi-album histories, both have voices that can in no wise be mistaken for that of another singer and both are Canadian. What might surprise you is which is my main pock and which is my HM... Today's top 31 spot goes to... Michael Sadler of SAGA My introduction to Saga came when I heard Wind Him Up on a sampler album in the early 80s, and I instantly latched on to both Sadler's vocal and Ian Crichton's equally distinctive guitar style and have since acquired their whole studio oeuvre and quite a few live albums and side/solo projects as well. Hard to pick with 22 studio albums and hardly any real duds, so I'll go for a broad range over their career. Selected Albums (all SAGA) 1. World's Apart 1981 2. The Security of Illusion 1993 3. 20/20 2012 Highlighted Performance (almost impossible!) "Don't Be Late" from The Chapters - Live (InsideOut 2005) Of course, this means that my HM today, and I'm still not sure I should have left him off my top 31 but I have, is.... Geddy Lee, of RUSH, of course: My selected album for them, today, is "Hemispheres" - tomorrow it would probably be different!

Hi Iain -- magnificent pick and LP's...yeah, Michael Saddler -- should've been on my list, another good one I'd forgotten about. "Security of Illusion" sounds years ahead of its time.
