Hey man, wanted to thank you for your content and just got your course ! After having bought 2 other courses for the same price, I can say after only viewing 30% of the videos yours is BY FAR no contest the best value for money and clearest structure/explanations !

THANK YOU!!! This is exactly what I’ve been searching for! I have so many source files and I’ve tried a bunch of different ways to search across them all. This was very helpful.

Thank you Santi, I really appreciate your enthusiasm and real-world examples. This is not working for me on Windows... I'm wondering if there is another required plugin given that I am using the basic install v1.1.16 of Obsidian and Topic Link 0.1.7

Thank you! I followed the instructions but when I hit the "Extract Markdown from PDFs" it does create one file in "Generated" folder out of many PDFs I have in PDFs folder. Even the extracted filed is just a link not HTML text. Is there any solutions for this?

been hearing more and more about this platform... Is it better than Notion?
@SantiYounger
@SantiYounger 2 жыл бұрын
Hey Max, I think it's better than Notion for the purpose of note-taking and writing. For organizing projects Notion is still better because of it's filtered tables
@MaxEnglishCoach
@MaxEnglishCoach 2 жыл бұрын
@@SantiYounger Yup! The filtering / sorting functionality in Notion is killer. That's the reason I use Notion so I'll take it from you I'm good for now. Thanks Santi!

For me Obsidian is way better than Notion because I own my data. I'm in charge of the backups and know that I will never lose a note until I'm ready to delete it. With Notion one day they could have a server mishap and scramble some ones and zeros and suddenly my all that hard work is gone. I also know that with Obsidian that the whole dev team could decide to take up underwater basket weaving and I wouldn't be impacted at all because I have all my notes and a stable copy of the software on my computer. Very few internet based companies stay the same or better for several decades and with the way that I'm using Obsidian I want to be able to still enjoy my notes and thoughts when I'm older and more grey.

@The Ostal Project, did you try the plugin and can confirm that it works? I'm asking because it doesn't work. I tried it on 5 devices, 3 separate vaults, with 10 different files, on 3 different internet connections. It doesn't work. Let me us know what your experience was.

Can you make a obsidian/mochi plugin video? I know a lot of folks are moving to mochi instead of anki and I know a lot of folks want to use mochi but don't know it has a plugin with obsidian.
@SantiYounger
@SantiYounger 2 жыл бұрын
Hey, nice topic! I've actually recently came back to Anki a lot more (I still use Mochi specially because of bidrectional links) Mochi is incredible specially for people that don't need all the functionality of Anki. I've tried the Obsidian plugin, for Mochi, but in my opinion it's not that useful given that creating cards directly into Mochi is way more efficient and easier. But I'll see if I change my mind, and it's good to know there's an interest in more Mochi videos too thanks!

Just wanna point out that “πάντα” does not sound like the word for the animal “panda”. There is no “n” sound in Greek. ν (n) + τ (t) = d sound. Only d! No n sound in there. So πάντα is read “pada” If you say n + t really fast, I think you’ll begin to hear how it morphs into a d sound in your mouth :)
@annafilou
@annafilou 2 жыл бұрын
a small catch: ok sometimes people *might* add an n sound in there while the speak (sometimes to sound more dramatic, for emphasis), but it’s not typical, at least not at this time and age.
@SantiYounger
@SantiYounger 2 жыл бұрын
hey Anna, interesting!! yeah you are right I forgot about the combination of ν + τ I've heard people pronounce this word like the animal (panda) but it's interesting to know its technically wrong. Thanks for the pro tips!!

Santi, the plugin doesn't work man. Hopefully you weren't promoting this just because it was a paid promo. I've tried it multiple times, across multiple vaults just now, with separate, simple PDFs and it didn't work. Since your promo the downloads have jumped up a bit but the plugin doesn't work.

Every other plugin I've tried out more than the 120 plugins that I have has worked. It's not like it's anything I'm doing or the issue is with my systems. I followed ALL the steps you've outlined in the video. And the plugin just didn't work. I then tried the plugin with different files, across multiple vaults, on multiple devices. It just doesn't work --and it's not just for me. Looking at your video --did you have those files sitting in there before untoggling --did you do that for demo purposes, or you know the plugin works? Could you, maybe, do a follow-up video? I'm a supporter of your work. And the community would benefit.

@@firstlast6341 That's very strange, just out of curiosity you on Windows/Mac/Linux? I can confirm that when I made this video the plugin was working for me on Windows, and it still does (I recorded it a couple days before upload) There's always a chance that an Obsidian or plugin update could have broke it. If you are familiar with GitHub issues that's the best way to let the author know that it's not working for you, so that it can be solved. It's a great plugin so I hope this gets solved soon best of luck

@@SantiYounger yes, I actually have several that I like, probably too many. ☺️ I really love the mobile version of Obsidian. Especially on my iPad. But my favorite plugins are quickadd, auto note mover, Dataview, Excalidraw, graph analysis, kanban, list callouts, note refractor, quick switcher ++, recent files, and style settings.
