Funny thing is when I pulled the anchor up to head back to shore I pulled up that long hose with the anchor. If only it had been my keys! If anyone has a need for these guys I highly recommend them. Highly professional and the search was very quick. Thanks LakeHickoryScuba!

interesting video...is part of this just pure luck also...searching an area based on the customers rough idea where they lost it and hope it didn't fail into a crevice or silt cover it. What would someone be charged for a recovery like this ball park

Hello alrobinette3475 great question. So my professional answer would be, with proper training and experience, any diver can have as much success as we do. Now with that part of the answer out of the way, I still perfectly happy being lucky during my dives. It all comes down to narrowing our search area as much as possible. This customer gave me some great information that helped me have a successful search. If you have followed our channel for a while you will know that we do commercial salvage work as well. Between the two, minor search and recovery dives like this one are priced out by the individual diver. A typical search like this would cost around $100, depending on location.

wow so lucky of a find. I uhhh ... it dropped right here in this area. uh no I didn't consider my drift factor of the water current. murky, silky bottom, oh yeah as easy as finding the keys as if Beetle Juice linked a glow stick to it or posted a flashing Looney Toon sign pointing to the keys. My cousin lost his wedding ring while tubing behind a power boat. 20' of water, he thought it would be an easy find. NOT the same, or as easy as lost on land.

How much do you charge for this, just out of curiosity?
@LakeHickoryScuba7 жыл бұрын
mintygood Pricing depends on location of object, accessibility to the search site, size of the object, depth of the object, and man power required to conduct a search. The search is what we charge for, even in the event we are unable to locate. Pricing for smaller objects range from $50-$200 per hour and full salvage jobs, start around $500 per hour. Large salvage jobs of course being for cars, boats, airplanes, etc. We turn down as many jobs as we do, simply for the fact of safety for the divers. Nothing is ever worth risking a diver's life for. We research every job before we agree to take it.
