Jocelyn, when you see things like Eddie's cannisters & want to keep them, you just need to get more boxes. Remember you taught us it's not hording if it's in a box.😄

I always laughed a little at this philosophy, but I’m finding myself adopting it to some degree. Watching Jocelyn is causing me to fall in love with more and more vintage and antique decor pieces. I can’t display everything at the same time, so...... “It’s not hoarding if it’s in a pretty box!” 😜

The carved Nativity was amazing!! There were so many pieces & I have a friend who had all of her Christmas items stolen in 2019 so we’re trying to piece together a new "vintage, new to her" Nativity & ornaments. Maybe if it’s there the next time you go in I could bid on it if it’s online! Great finds this trip, I especially LOVE the brass dog for his ears alone, lol! Once you’ve owned a hound with those big dopey ears that feel like silk (& get wet every time they drink water🤣)you will always choose one over any other dog. TFS!! 🤗💜🙏🏻😷🦚

The bird figure on the black platter appears to be a Wood Duck. Very beautiful bird. And the large brass dog could be a Saluki, an ancient gaze hound breed from Egypt and surrounding countries. They have the sweet nature of all gaze hounds, and are similar to Afghan hounds as well, simply being bred for hotter climates.

The painted wood bowl looks like traditional Norwegian folk art, called Rosemaling. They are worth $30 - $60, depending on the quality of painting and the colors used.

I am almost certain the painted bowl is from Mexico circa 1950's-1970's. It is virtually identical to one my aunt brought back from Mexico around 1967 and my grandmother already had one similar also from Mexico that someone gave her before I was born (1959). Beware the paint has lead in it so not suitable for food.

@@CrazyLampLady I'm 43 years old, so there you have it! But yes, so awesome. Whenever we would watch a video where you were looking for praying hands or commented on a faith-based item, I wondered ... my youngest daughter, Rose, is a "budding artist" and she loves your channel because she loves color and animals. And she complains that I all want in this house is "white" --- ha ha ... (1800's farmhouse.) Anyway, she tapped on the mic on my computer tonight, "Crazy Lamp Lady" - ha ha - and pulled up your video! I'm glad you're "clean" and use nice language and such, because it's so great for an artist-style child to follow along on your adventures. We have snapping turtles as pets that she salvaged from birth -- and we already have two dogs and a goat but she wants more, more, animals! We enjoy your channel. Thank you! =)

03:49 I think the root cause is called "being overstocked." 04:25 "Reznor," huh? Maybe that's why it sounds as loud as a Nine Inch Nails concert. 05:41 Seems like Winter Creek pottery is in British Columbia. 06:55 Those are hobnails, but more horseshoe-nail shaped than the Fenton milk glass hobnails you're used to. 08:25 That would be because eddies in the space-time continuum. 09:32 "Building (bldg.)" 10:14 At first I thought that was going to turn out to be a TARDIS. 10:42 The answer is "no." It's too much like a generic Lump-o-Wood. 11:22 Yay it's a known potter! "Amado Ga." is Amado Galván (1899 - 1990) and he is quite collectible, not to say outright famous. 12:53 Handcrafted yes, but also more impressionist and rustic than I would really care for, anyway. … If you're talking about the one that's face up, that's Mary. She's always depicted kneeling. Right next to her is one of the shepherds with his staff. 13:43 It's a crested rufous whatchamacallit and his reflection in the mirror. 13:55 The piano baby has a distinct Bette Davis expression on her face. 14:27 He's a wood duck on the platter. We've even started getting them as far west as me within the last twenty years. The three smaller dishes are cardinal, a roadrunner, and a California quail. Grabbing the whole set at forty-five is kinda tempting. 16:21 He's a cute little folky piece. 18:23 He's a coon hound, been living on whatever scraps the family threw out and there ain't been many scraps lately. 19:13 Alcalá is going to be somebody's surname. You didn't mention the material he's made from, but he kinda looks like papier-mâché, at a guess he's 1970s. Tonalá does produce some papier-mâché birds, although they're a lot less common than the ceramics. I just found a Day-Glo red papier-mâché owl from that period in Mother's house.
